Chapter 7// Uncovered

So I get home and put all Chris's stuff into place for when he gets here. When he gets here I am going to confront him and ask him who that girl was. I am not going to make a big deal about it because I don't want to be that kind of girlfriend who has to know everything about what he is doing...and I won't be one of those girlfriends. My hear a knock on my door and assume it's Chris so I say it's open. When the door opens it wasn't Chris but a guy from my past. A guy I didn't want to ever see in my life again. I get up and back away from him as he tries to approach me.

"Look I just want to talk to you Maddy." He said in a apologetic and calm tone.

"About what! There is NOTHING left to discuss" I say kind of harshly. At the moment my mom just had dropped me off and headed off to her sisters house about an hour away for her baby shower, so I was home alone. My dad had gone to his mothers house due to the fact she is ill and he needed to be there for her.

"About what happened back the" he said inching closer to me as I backed away.

"I was going through a lot and I didn't want to hurt you...never did I intend to hurt you. Please just hear me out and I want to make things better---" I cut him off.

"How can you make it better it won't go away by an apology you know that!" I say with fear in my eyes.

"And I understand that. Look while I talk I don't have to be near you if that makes you feel any better but I have been needing to straighten things up." He said putting his hands into the air.

"You have 5 minutes to tell me what you want to but you have to stay away from me while you talk" I said motioning toward him for him to put his hands down.

"Ok... I know what I did was horribly wrong and you have all rights to be mad and upset and scared of me. I am scared of myself too. We both know about my dad." He said making me open my eyes wider.

"We both know what he did to me and what I did to you. I wanna be able to show you the real me. You may not think I can change. But I can and I did I moved in with my mom and she was way better than my dad ever was to me. She treated me like a real person. I feel awful and regret ever second of what I did. If you give me a chance to show you...then I would love to show you and maybe...just maybe we could be friends. Almost like what we were as kids just without the bad parts." He said his eyes starting to turn red and him sniffling. I wasn't sure what to believe at this point.

"The most I can do is talk for now...until I know you won't do anything to me we have to keep our distance, and we can only talk over phone for now. Deal?" I said with a straight face.

"Deal I'll do anything" he said while leaving the house. As he got in his car and drove away Chris pulled in and came in.

"Who was that?" He said pointing to the car.

"An old person from my past. No biggy." I said grabbing his hand pulling him inside. We go upstairs and sit in my room on the floor. I give him his outfit that I got him with his vans.

"I know it's not much but I wanted to do something for you!" I said with a smile on my face

"Well thank you" he said kissing me on my cheek.

"Well I got something for you and it is something you will love as I said to you earl--" I cut him off cuz I can't take anything till I make sure he isn't cheating.

"Who was that girl you were with at the mall and I know I sound really over protective but you kissed her and I just was wondering an---" he just cut me off by kissing me to make me shut up and I return it to him.

"She is my cousin and she wanted to help pick out the stuff so I let her help" he said with a smile on his face trying not to laugh at how I got 'jealous' as he claims

He gives me part of my gift which was a pair of diamond earrings. Than takes me downstairs. When we get downstairs he has bags downstairs and he had me open them in order from how he laid them out. He got me a dress from forever 21 with a flower crown that matches it. Then he got me some plain white vans and some bright purple vans. He Also got me something other than clothes.. He got me a jewelry box that use to be his moms and it had forever in love carved in cursive on it which I thought was really cute and last but not least he got me 2 plane tickets to Orlando where we are going to playlist live

"Omg I could die right now!" I said jumping up and down

"Please don't" he said trying so hard to keep his straight face, which might I add he isn't good at.
