Chapter 1 First time

Ok, hi. I'm Maddy Shult. I'm 16 and I have been homeschooled my whole life. My dad is in the military, and we had to move to Texas for his job, and my
parents decided to put me in public school...for some odd reason.

~Later that week~

It is officially the first day of public high school, and I'm so nervous!!! When I got there all I see is emptiness...probably because everyone is in class right now. I walk in with my mom, Riley. We get my schedule, and I head off to my 1st period class. When I walk in, I say,"Hi." My teacher said "Hi. You must be Maddy. Introduce yourself to the class please." I did as I was told.

After I introduced myself, I sat down and everyone was staring at me. It felt so weird to be with hundreds of other kids. I spotted a few really cute guys in my classes, and a few noticed me too. When I got to lunch, I sat by myself. When I sat down, I noticed one of the really cute guys walking over to sit where I was sitting.

He folded his hands and looked into my eyes."Hey. I'm Chris," he said with a smirk. "And you are...Maddy! I have you in some of the same classes"

I knew he was in all my classes--because all I could do was stare at him.

I never really had a chance to talk to a boy so cute before.

In my life.

So I sat up and tried to look like an actual girl.

"Really? Well, at least I'll sort of know someone here," I replied looking into his eyes smirking back at him

We talk and get to know each other a bit.When lunch was over, he walked me back to class. I was thinking to myself, 'Why is he talking to me?? I'm a nobody, and he's a really cute and popular guy.' I liked him--not because he was popular, but because he was different than the stereotypical popular guy.

I then resumed throughout the day, which went really well actually! I already have a friend, and that's one more than I expected to have. Chris and I have exchanged numbers, and he said he would text me soon. I actually think I really like him...who knows?? Then again, it only has been one day. So how do I, how could I like him already!
