No doubt, my clique got worried for me. Their eyes slowly followed my line of sight. Did they see what I saw?

"Huh, strange. I guess reincarnation is real." Parkinson murmured as she dragged me by my elbow to an unoccupied seat. My eyes were still glues to his but was forced to look away. I recognized the mop of raven hair in across from me. Why did she choose this seat?

"What a day, huh?" Potter asked me, while turning a red apple in his hand. I nodded feebly. Did Potter not see his dead competitor? I was suddenly surrounded by chatter. The kids here were nice enough to try to include me in their conversation. But i could only commit to a "yea," and a "no," long enough to seem casual. In reality, I was far from it.

He was right there. Real and living. Hadn't I killed him? Was Potter still blind behind those glasses? Was I going mad? I tried to make sense of the people Cedric was sitting with. All annoyingly beautiful, stiff as rock, pale and had dark spots under their eyes. With the amount of sleep I got, I probably could've passed as one of them. Except I wasn't as perfect as them. They were angular, something about them looked like marble. Statues, if I'm being frank. Statues that were facing away from each other.

"Who are they?" I interrupted. I had to know. Who were this people Cedric was mingling with? As I asked the question, the small girl lifted her tray of uneaten food and, quite literally, glided across the cafeteria, a quirky smile on her lips. One of the girls looked up to see who I was talking about. Suddenly, Cedric turned to look at us. He made brief eye contact with me before he went back to glaring at the wall.

"That's Edward and Emmett Cullen and Rosalie and Jasper Hale. The one that left is Alice Cullen; they all live together with Dr Cullen and his wife."

Hmmm. Interesting. Pseudonym.

With the gigantic main character complex the golden trio had, they didn't care to look. So infuriating! They could've helped me confirmed that I wasn't losing my mind. My other Slytherins were too engrossed in their own conversation.

"Hmmm. Well, they're all... Ethereal?" I struggled to find a word that describes them. The girl giggled before replying, "YES!"

After a moment of silence, the girl continued, "But they're all together, though - Emmett and Rosalie, Jasper and Alice. They all live together." Her voice held shock and a slight edge. Interesting, indeed.

"I wasn't aware inbreeding was a trend here."

"Huh? Oh GOD, NO! They're all adopted. The Hales are twins though - the blondes - and they're foster children." She explained as if my previous assumption was repulsive - which, it is and a lot more common with the pure bloods back at home.

I tried to push for more information. She seemed jealous, envious when talking about the Cullens. Perhaps I had chosen the wrong person to help me get to know about the clan. It's very clear that she is biased. Throughout the conversation, my eyes flickered back to Cedric. His peculiar companions still looking away from each other. Suddenly, Cedric met my eyes again. This time, more curious than angry.

"What about the one with the bronzey hair?"

"Oh! That's Edward. Total hottie and gorgeous, of course. But don't waste your time, he doesn't date. Apparently, none of the girls here are good enough for him."

This time, Zabini cut in. "Perhaps he isn't straight."

That definitely quietened the babbling girl. Cedric was straight, the last time I saw him anyways. I fought back my grin. Zabini always was too straight-forward for his own good. And in the distance, I might've saw the corners of Cedric's mouth lift up, too. After that, none of them looked this way again.
