It's been a few days since Sukuna had sent you on the edge, and you were happy he didn't bother you. "Okay, Yuji. I'll be going now!" You slipped on your sneakers as one of your hands was planted against the wall to support your unbalanced body.

"Alright, y/n! And by the way, I'm going to see Junpei."

Hearing his words, you slowly dropped your foot to the floor after slipping your shoe and gave him a confused look. One of your eyebrows shot up as your lips slightly parted. "Who's Junpei again?" The name sounded very familiar but you couldn't remember.

While Yuji refreshed your memory, you had other thoughts overpowering his statement.

Why on earth does he want to see Junpei? Doesn't he know that his life is in danger? Isn't it best if he stayed at home? Yet then again, he might be sick being here. I do feel a bit bad. He might feel like a prisoner... So if he's careful about his actions then it shouldn't be a problem. He's not a baby. You know it's best if he does get out of the house. It's not good to stay inside for a long time since he's not like you. You're literally a person who loves to live in isolation; however he's the complete opposite of you.

"Just be careful, Yuji. If you sense something suspicious, call me and I'll deal with it." You advise him mainly because he doesn't know how to conceal his residual. He can be easily detected and detained if he's found, and you didn't want that for the sake of you, him, and Gojo's.

Yuji's eyes widened as he gleefully smiled and suddenly gave you a side hug. You jolted in place, stiffening up from his foreign touch as you felt your heart leap. "Thanks, y/n! I feared you'd say no." He cried, laughing it off. His arm squeezed your frame lightly, showing how much he appreciated your kindness.

All you could do was smile awkwardly. "I'm not that cold... Of course I want you to be comfortable even if you're hiding. You deserve your own fair freedom too," then your body began getting hot from your neck and down. Yuji hasn't let you go yet and you were waiting for him to. "Uh, can you let go? I gotta go to school," you reminded and he instinctively moved back, unraveling his arm.

"Sorry y/n." Yuji chuckled, scratching his head. "Have a good day though!"

Your ears were filled with delight, hearing his departing words. It was like music to your ears as it warmed your soul. It laced with your beating heart, reassuring you that there's someone expecting you home with open arms and a tender smile. You knew this feeling won't get old because it reminded you of your family. Yuji's company changed the dynamic of the empty house.

A small curl tugged the corner of your lip while warmth spread throughout your chest. "Thanks, I will! I'll be kicking everyone's butt even though I'm not participating in the goodwill event!"

You waved goodbye and left for school.

You watched your classmates spar with each other as you couldn't help but wonder what Maki was going to do with her family. You knew they're in her way to stop Maki from getting promoted. However, they have a say in it, but you also have the authority to grant her a higher grade. The higher ups have no power over you; you control society not the other way around.

Your teeth grinded against each other as you observed Maki from a far.

Maki is gifted with enhanced abilities and lacks cursed energy. She's an expert in wielding weapons and martial arts. I mean, I can help her achieve power if she lets me consume her low cursed energy... You wanted to help Maki because you knew having low cursed energy wouldn't help her. It's better for her to have zero energy since it'll aid her abilities to be untouchable, and not even powerful sorcerers will be able to stop her. This was a big gamble, but you knew she wasn't going to abuse it since she has a sense of dignity and pride. Maki knows what's right and what's wrong. It won't cause her to stray away from her path.
