"(Y/N), you NEED to get a job. I'm not buying that for you."
"UGH fine." I reply, rolling my eyes at my mom.
"Now get to school. You're gonna be late." She handed me my lunchbox.
"Yeah yeah whatever mom." I say, dismissing her. I grab the lunchbox, put it in my backpack, swing it around onto my back and swipe my skateboard.
I was finally able to skate to school since the weather was warmer and the streets weren't full of salt
~Gets to School~
"Hey bestie~" I hear my best friend say. I get off my board and stomp onto the tail, making it fly into my arms smoothly.
"Hey Asuka~" I reply, hugging her.
"How was your weekend hm?" She questions.
"Meh it was good, nothing out of the ordinary. Hbu?" I ask, yawning.
"Same." She sighs.
We walk through the hallways sluggishly. We reach my locker and I grab the books I need for my class, shoving my backpack inside, kicking it so it fits in.
"Ugh math. I hate it. I mean, WHY? Just WHY! Letters should not be in math." Asuka goes on, rambling. I nod in agreement, smiling. The bell rings and she shuts up.
"Shit we're gonna be late." She curses. I put my board down and start going in the direction of the class.
"(Y/N)! You'll get in trouble like last time!" She yells. Ugh, she's right.
I pick it up and wait for her to join my side.
~Class Ends~
Class was as boring as ever. Nothing eventful happened whatsoever. No homework though, so that's good.
"Yo, Asuka, wanna help me find a job after school?" I ask my best friend.
"Yeah of course. I didn't know you were looking for a job?" She says.
"Yeah I wanna get a new car. Mines always breaking down, PLUS my mom doesn't wanna pay half so..." I trail off.
"Ah ok cool. Welp see you at lunch!" Asuka says before turning off into her class. The bell rings and I walk into class at the perfect time.
Science.
I set my skateboard down on the ground beside my desk. I bring my board to class because my lockers too damn small it can barely fit my bag.
Atsumu sits next to me in this class.
30 minutes pass and I'm losing my sanity, barely able to listen to the boring lecture.
I put my feet on my board, rolling it side to side.
"Psst, (y/n), stop. It's annoying." Atsumu whispers harshly.
"Sorry." I whisper back, stopping. Unconsciously I start doing it again.
"(Y/N), give me your skateboard. It is EXTREMELY distracting." My teacher orders.
Ugh, old hag. I roll my eyes at her, handing it over slowly.
"And for the eye roll you ahve detention from 12-12:30 today." She lifts and eyebrow. I hear some kids giggle.
"Are you kidding me!?" I ask her, annoyed.
"No, it's not the first time I ask you to stop. Now pay attention."
She goes back to teaching and I look over to Atsumu who's grinning widely.
"I told y-"
"Shut up." I cut him off.
"Someone's in a bad mood..." He snickers. I roll my eyes and pretend to listen to what the teachers saying.
~*Bell Rings*~
Everyone stands up and starts to leave except me. I sit there with my arms crossed. I can feel the teachers eyes on me. She starts grading some tests or papers idk. The 30 minutes pass slowly but surely.
"Can I have my board now?" I ask nonchalantly.
"For this one time. But don't expect me to be this nice next time." She scowls, handing over my skateboard across the desk.
"Thanks." I say with a sigh, leaving the class. I join Asuka in the cafeteria.
"Where were you dude?" Asuka asks.
"Detention." I frown.
"Again? For what?" She asks, mildly giggling. I nudge her in the side.
"For rolling my board side to side. The teacher got annoyed or smn." I shrug, taking a bite of my food.
"Oof, well now you know. Oh and after we find you a job wanna get some ice-cream?" Asuka asks.
"Ah sorry my mom said I had to get straight home after." I frown.
"Ah ok, another time!" She smiles.
~ School Ends (sorry for big time skip)~
The day was boring like always. Afterwards me and Asuka get in my old Geo Metro.
"So I was thinking of working at some clothes shops or something simple." I say, backing out.
"Yeah good idea." Asuka says, looking at her phone. "Oh hey there's a skate shop by your house. Wouldn't that be cool?" She says, showing me the shop on Google Maps.
"WHAT? UM YES!!" I say loudly. "Put it on the gps k?" I say. She nods and puts in the directions.
