Two months later at the end of the summer, we're all at Moon's house party. Both Miyagi-Do and Cobra Kai were invited, but despite Moon's best efforts, neither group was too thrilled to see the other.

"We're all friends, remember? Just clear your chakras and have some fun."

In your dreams, I think to myself, but I put on the fakest smile I've ever done just to get out of the situation. The party raged on for a few hours, I won't bore you with the details, so here's what went down:

The classic drinking game happened; Tory was the reigning champion until Sam took her title, causing the former to walk away. I honestly felt bad for Miguel at that point; it was like his love life was at a gamble, the poor boy couldn't catch a break. A few hours after that Demetri took the mic and proceeded to publicly humiliate Hawk in front of all the partygoers by spilling his secrets. There's gonna be a fight, but that doesn't happen because the police show up at the most opportune moment.

Oh yeah, Miguel and Sam kissed towards the end of the party. And now as I'm fleeing the scene so that the cops don't get me, I turn to Aisha.

"Have you seen Tory or Ellie?"

"No, c'mon we gotta go."

Shrugging to myself I throw the door open and sprint off the premises, not even looking back at the house. I don't slow down until I'm at least a mile away from the property.

It's the first day of school, and yet the tension between the two dojos hasn't cooled down even with summer's end. I'm sitting in class on the verge of sleep when I hear the intercom go off.

"Samantha LaRusso, you know what you did, and now you're gonna pay for it. I'm coming for you bitch."

The bell-ringing after the message didn't do much to how suspenseful this whole event was. Now, I wasn't the type of person to start a fight on my own, but I wouldn't stand there and watch someone get beat up or get beat up myself. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Miguel sprinting down the hallway in the same general direction as me, but I got to the circle just in time.

"I saw what you did at the party. You kissed Miguel."

The crowd gasps, but I'm standing there pissed. Part of me wants to leave the circle and go to class, but the other half tells me to stick around.

"I-" Sam stammered, but her words were lost in her throat. I was confused, I knew about Tory's crush on Miguel, but didn't she know he was taken? I tried to explain this to her earlier in the summer, but I don't think the message sunk in.

Tory, who wastes no time giving a chance for Sam to explain—not that she wanted to hear her out to begin with—throws the first punch. It's pandemonium from there; Sam dodges her strike and retaliates with one of her own, further entertaining the enthusiastic crowd who just stood there with their phones out.

"Yeah, get her!" one of the Cobra Kai members shouted after Tory lands punch after punch.  I couldn't just stand there anymore and watch; something had to be done. So, I pulled Tory away from Sam and slammed her into the locker.

"Stop," I muttered, maintaining eye contact with Tory.

I turned to Sam; "You okay?" I asked, and she nodded in response.

"Hey!" Miguel roars, decking me and pushing me to the ground.

Do you know how I said Tory and Sam's fight was pandemonium? Throw Hawk into the mix and you get an out-of-control free-for-all.

"Come on guys, can't we all get along?" Moon pleaded on deaf ears.

"No, no we can't," I responded before resuming my onslaught.
