Areum just fell asleep after eating a little food of what she assumes as dinner.

The door opened slowly revealing Jin. He looked tired and hurt. She came and sat near her and caressed her face.
"I hope I could tell my feelings to you. "

Flashback

"Jin! You have to marry someone, you cannot stay like this forever. You have to get married, life doesn't work as you wish, you have to go along with the society too " his step father said as he looked really serious.
"Appa, I'm not in the right situation and I'm not planning on getting married right now" Jin opposed his step father's suggestion strongly.

Seokjin's mom got divorced with his real father when he was 5. Then his mom got married with a rich CEO. Unfortunately, his mom died in a car accident, leaving him all alone with his step dad when he was 8.

He had never experienced parently love since his mom died. He would always manage to get the best grades but still his father didn't seem impressed. Afterall, he wasn't his real father. He missed his fading memories of his childhood when his real dad would give piggy back rides and buy him icecream while going out.

"I love someone else, marriage isn't a joke, try to understand appa, it's about life, it's about the person whom we are going to stay forever with!" Seokjin said again.

"Who is it that you love? That stranger whom you found lying almost dead? What is she, who is she, do you know anything about her? No! Right? What even made you fall for her?" his dad yelled out without stopping.

"Appa, please don't say such things. I never expected all these from you!" he tried to explain but all was in vain.

Jin stormed out, trying to hold back his tears.

He did love Areum which he never thought would happen. She seemed so much in pain and needed the whole world's love and care. Was he just being sympathetic on her? "No!" His mind said. He loved her otherwise he wouldn't have fought for her to his stepdad.

What would he do now? He didn't want to break the relationship with his step dad because that was a promise he made to his mother at the time of her last breath.

Such a cruel and selfish person....how did mom even find him and got married.

He put in the key and then drove off his car.

He reached home. All he thought about first was Areum. Jin paced towards her room and slowly opened the door to find her sleeping.
He went near her and caressed her face.
"Seeing you makes me forget my worries and problems. I believe if you stay by my side, I can succeed anything. Areum, get well soon and let's start a new life....forget everything of your past and be with me forever.."
