Chloe's POV
*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP*
I heard the sound of my annoying alarm clock and it was hell to my ears.
It was my first day at my new school, and let me tell you I knew what was coming.
I'm not exactly the best with people, I'm quite, shy, an easy target for bullying. And at my old school, I was. I wanted to beat Tess Loski's head in for some of the things she said to me, but I was always either two shy or two big of a goody-two-shoes.
I sighed and rolled out of bed, knowing that if I didn't get up and go to school I would be in trouble. And I hate getting in trouble.
I smacked my alarm clock to stop it from making that horrid noise and slipped into my bunny slippers. I walked over to my closet to pick out the outfit I had chosen the night before. I was always told I was good like that.
I took of my teal, two piece silk pyjamas and tossed on a white tank top and a teal jersey-esque crop top with a beaten town number 96 on it in white. I then pulled on some blue jeans then rolled them up to about my knees, a little under. I then pulled on my favourite pair black flats before walking over to my dresser to do my hair. I really didn't do anything to it, I just threw it into a loose ponytail. And for my make up, I never really wore any so I just put on some foundation, blush, teal eyeshadow (if you haven't noticed yet, teal is my favourite colour), mascara and pink lipstick that was so pink you could hardly tell I had any on.
Once I was done getting ready, I walked into the bathroom to brush my teeth and use the toilet.
And then it was finally time for breakfast so I make my way downstairs and just as I'm pouring up my cereal what do I see out the window? The school bus driving past.
"Oh fuck--" I mutter as I shove a handful of Lucky Charms in my mouth.
I rush to the porch and grab my teal book bag with the letter C sewed on it in black.
I was still chewing the cereal as I rushed out the door and started chasing after the bus. If I missed the bus I would've been screwed because my parents where already at work and I was only fifteen so no license for me.
"WAIT! WAIT!" I said as I ran down the street as fast as my legs could carry me.
After a while I realized I was royally screwed because that vehicle was not stopping.
I sighed and sat on the side walk, my elbows leaning against my knees and my head in my hands as I debated the idea of walking to school, that is until I heard a voice.
"Hey there." It spoke up, sweetly.
I looked up at him, he was cute. He had this baby face, but at the same time he was really hot. His hair was brown and so where his beautiful eyes. He had on a simple white t-shirt and black jeans and a rip-off pair of Jordan's.
Being the shy person I am, I couldn't dear speak to a guy like that, so I just flashed up a smile.
"So, uh, I see you missed the bus." He chuckled.
I just nodded my head in response.
"Yeah, so did I." He chuckled, taking a look at me. "Hey I don't think I've seen you around before. You new?" He asked.
I nodded my head again.
"Well then, you can call me Hunter." He said, sitting down next to me and sticking out his hand for me to shake it.
To be polite, I grabbed his hand and I shook it. It felt so warm, so soft.
"You got a name?" He asked me as I felt my heart drop.
I was going to have to speak.
"Chloe." I said softly and quietly.
"Chloe..that's a beautiful name." He complemented me with a smile.
"Thanks." I said sweetly and shyly.
"So, I'm guessing you need a ride." He said to me.
My mom always thought me never to go in a car with a stranger, but this was a cute stranger so let's make an exception.
I simply nodded my head in response.
"Okay." He said getting up as he slapped his knees in rhythm. "My house is this way, I can give you one." He smiled.
"Thanks." I said, softly giggling under my breath.
She smiled at me and we started walking to his house, to what I hoped would be in silence. It wasn't. He kept asking me about my life, but I didn't answer in hopes he would get the message that I was shy and eventually he did and he stopped.
We soon reached his house and I got in the passenger side of a grey chevy convertible as he got in the drivers side and turned on the radio and the song "Rather Be" by Clean Bandit was on.
"Okay, I know I'm a dude but this song, ah man I love this song." He said as he turned it up.
"I do, too." I said softly.
He flashed me a smile and started to drive. It was silent apart from the radio but I didn't care. It was how I liked my car rides.
"Okay, we're here." Hunter said as he turned into a parking spot and parked his car.
"Thanks." I say softly, getting out and grabbing my books and started my way into the building, going out separate ways, most likely never to meet again.
Or at least that's what we thought.
