I looked into his eyes. Deeply. I took a deep breath in, as my legs resisted the controlled movement. My legs gave out, unresponsive. Him, concerned, still not letting go of my hand. He looked back at the place, where the bomb exploded. The realities had crushed. Nothing seemed real. It was my fault. We weren't meant to be, but I dreamt. I dreamt of us. Together in one place at a time. Now? There were at least millions of us sharing different fates. The universe resisted. I dreamt but he didn't let go. The multiverse was unresponsive, the chaos has taken over. The levels are rising. Alarms ringing inside my head. Screams. Loud distant screams.
Slowly, I pulled away as he didn't let go. The universe didn't respond. I pulled harder. His hand let go of mine and I started to run. The universe started crushing everything behind me. The multiverse finally opening up. People ripping me apart, even though I was a whole. The universe stopped and paused. It lagged, becoming unresponsive. The universes had collided. There was nothing left but the sound of silence, ringing in my ears.
Then came the screams. Yet again. I reached the portal. I stepped in, not even once looking back at the colliding universes. The ten men and ten women were standing around me. I woke up with a sudden scream. Their skin: as white as a ghost body. The heavy equipment in their arms. My body: cold and unresponsive. We have reached the worst. There is no turning back but I dreamt.
