"I'll call you when we're done," I told my mom as I warily got out of the car and looked up at our alpha's house. It was an understatement to say I was nervous. My hands were slightly clammy. I wiped them against my skinny jeans before pulling them down with my feet.

"Hold your tongue and keep your thoughts under control," my mom advised before driving off. I stood at the sidewalk for a minute looking at his house. Building up courage, I slowly walked down the small path that led to Blade's front door. I raised my fist to knock but the door opened before I could.

"Right on time," Blade mumbled as he stepped away from the door and gestured for me to come in. His house was so neat and organized. Nothing looked out of place. Blade was kind of a neat freak though. I guess it made sense in a way.

"What made sense in a way?" Blade asked hearing my thoughts. I shook my head quickly.

"Oh. It's nothing," I said trying to sound as calm as possible. Blade nodded.

"I'm gonna go get a beer. Do you want one?" He asked. I shook my head for fear of the fact that he was probably just testing me. If it weren't the alpha offering me a beer, I would've accepted one immediately, "Go over and sit down. I'll be back." Blade walked out of the room without another word. I stepped away from the front door and sat on the very edge of one of the couches. Something was up. Blade has never treated me so nicely before. Clasping my hands together, I leaned forward and tried to figure out what he could be up to. Maybe he changed his mind about lecturing me and decided to apologize. I laughed at my little joke. Him? Apologize? Yeah right. I heard Blade's footsteps and immediately stopped smiling. I stared at the floor and I heard him place himself on the chair across from me. I felt his hard stare and after a minute I slowly looked up at him. He was staring at me with his jaw clenched and his eyes in a barely noticeable glare. If only I could disappear right now.

"Do you know why I told you to come here?" He asked. His voice was calm but still a little angry. I studied the beige carpet and nodded, "So then tell me. Why are you here?"

"Because I can't keep my thoughts in my head for just myself," I murmured quietly while looking up at him. He took swig of his beer and leaned forward.

"And tell me, why is it so bad that I had to order you to come to my house to work on this issue?" He asked.

"Because it affects other people's concentration," I told him.

"Do you know how to put up a mind block so that only you can access your thoughts?" He asked. I nodded and looked at my shoes, "So then why don't you use it?" I didn't have an answer for this one. Why didn't I use it? I knew perfectly well how to use one but I guess it just never occurred to me to use it.

"Do you enjoy distracting everyone from doing their work?" He asked.

"N-no," I stuttered. I could hear his anger building up.

"Do you enjoy making everybody stay out extra late just so we can get enough food to bring home and feed everybody because you always throw our train of thought off track from the animal and we accidentally let it get away?" He asked.

"Definitely not," I told him honestly.

"Do you enjoy the attention it gives you?" I just shook my head. Wrong move. In one swift motion, Blade's hand smacked me right upside the face, "You have to be enjoying something otherwise you wouldn't be doing it all the time." He growled. I didn't have anything to say. He slapped me again. "So tell me. What do you enjoy so much?" He stood up and towered above me. I looked up at him knowing that if I didn't, I'd be getting worse than I was already going to get.

"N-nothing. I don't," I took in a sharp breath knowing that my anxiety was getting to me, "I don't enjoy anything about it." I stammered through the rest of my words. Blade pushed me onto the ground and then kicked me in the stomach. I coughed.

"Lies," he growled. "Tell me the truth." He ordered. His alpha voice overpowered and I knew that if I told him nothing again I would get tortuous punishments for 'lying' to the alpha.

"I just enjoy the music. That's all," I whimpered pathetically. I was dragged up in the air and slammed against the wall. I stared into Blade's murderous eyes.

"You're lying. Tell me the fucking truth," he roared. I flinched under his extremely powerful alpha voice. I didn't know what to say. I turned my head to the side and looked away from me. Another horrible move. I was thrown harshly onto the floor and kicked into the wall. Blade wasn't holding back any strength. I could already feel my ribs cracking. I let out a cry of pain and tried to move away from him. Blade's foot slipped and he kicked my straight in the face. Blood immediately gushed out of my nose and I could feel my eye already starting to swell up. I knew my lip had been cut but that pain was nothing compared to everything else. Blade threw another powerful kick. Crack. I felt and heard my ribs break. I screamed out in agony but that didn't stop him. He wasn't going to stop until he got a satisfying answer out of me. Even if I died during the process. Another thing with being the Omega of the pack. We were always the ones first in line for death. Always. The only exception would be when it involved somebodies mate. But then that would put them second in line. I held my hands up as a sign of defeat and the alpha abruptly stopped kicking me.

"Are you going to give me an answer?" He asked. I nodded while trying to push myself up. He didn't say a word as he waited for my answer. Shit. Think of something Hunter.

"I uh. I.." I cant believe I'm going to say this, "I like being in pain." There was a silence. Blade stared at me hard. I was wincing every time I breathed. I probably punctured my ribs. After a minute, the alpha crouched down in front of me. His eyes didn't read any anger.

"Get out. I want you to have your mind block up everytime we hunt. Failure to do so will result in death in the most painful way," he said while opening his door. I stood up with great difficulty and walked out the door. I clutched my rib area tightly. The door was slammed shut as I walked out his house. I pulled out my phone to see that the screen was smashed. I still tried using it. Much to my surprise, it still worked. I quickly put in my password and dialed my moms number.

"I'm already on my way sweetie. Just stay put," she said. I was a little amazed at how my mom did that. It was like she could see the future. I did as she told and walked out to the sidewalk in front of Blade's house. I didn't want him to change his mind and come back to kill me now. My mom's car pulled up and I quickly got into the passenger side. My mom gave me a full bod scan. I gave myself one too. My shirt was stained with blood and a few drops of it even got on my pants. Mom sighed.

"You need to go to the hospital," she said going into overprotective mode. I groaned. There was a lot of groaning going on today.

"Have you absolutely forgotten that we're wolves?" I hissed at her. Right now, I felt more like vampire.  "I don't need to go to the hospital." I reminded her. She sighed and nodded.

"But when we get home you're going straight to bed and not coming out until you're completely rested," she ordered.

"But what about food? And water? It will take at least a week for all of this to heal. I can't go that long without eating, drinking, and definitely not going to the bathroom. You of all people should know I have the smallest bladder in the world," I complained. Mom laughed.

"We'll bring your food and stuff up to you. I didn't forget about your bladder issues. Who could forget the fact that you stopped wetting the bed when you were twelve years old? I guess we could get you a cup...or maybe a tube," she trailed off. My face flushed.

"Moom," I groaned while dragging it out longer than necessary, "You promised you wouldn't bring it up."
