"Are you serious?" Avie asked as I told her about what was happening. Earlier this morning, the entire pack was called into a meeting. The guards that we have protecting our territory said that they caught scent of unfamiliar wolves that was getting stronger and stronger by the minute. Meaning that the Crimson pack was arriving. By the speed that their scent is increasing, they might be able to make it before I come home from school. If not before, then soon after. I nodded yes to answer her unanswered questions. She squealed.

"And maybe Hunter can finally find his mate and get over that little crush on his alpha that he has," she gushed. I glared at her.

"You know damn well that that was almost 2 years ago. Before he became an alpha and started being a complete dick," I growled at her. Her eyes widened and then she raised her hands.

"Down kitty," she mumbled. I rolled my eyes and just continued walking to lunch. "Hey! Wait up!" she called. I just kept walking and pretty soon I heard her light footsteps come after me. If I were human, I wouldn't have heard that. She was just such a light walker. "BOO!" she screamed in my ear as she jumped on my back. I groaned and collapsed on the ground. Still in a bit of pain from my last encounter with the alpha.

"Well damn. I knew I was heavy but I didn't think I was that heavy," Avie mumbled to herself as she sat up and rubbed her head. I chuckled a bit and shook my head then raised my shirt to show the fading bruise on my ribs. I winced a bit at the sight of my stomach. It was extremely pale yet a yellowish color that just made it look extremely disgusting. Well that was really just me but some people don't pay as much attention to detail as I do. Avery scrunched her face up at the sight and then smiled apologetically. I just waved her off and stood up from the ground. Pulling her up with me. "Since you're a werewolf, shouldn't that have healed a long time ago?" I shrugged.

"Well considering that I broke a couple ribs, the healing process was probably only focused on my ribs and any other broke bones instead of the bruises. They should be gone in a couple hours." I told her as we entered the cafeteria and went through the lunch line. As usual, I didn't grab any food. School food tasted like shit anyways. As we sat at our table, people in the surrounding tables glanced and whispered at us. I sighed. Typical.

"Take a fucking picture! It'll last a hell of a lot longer," Avie screamed at the people who stared and whispered. I suppressed my laughter as people unaware of the situation quieted down to watch what was happening. of course. Avie had to make a scene. This was actually becoming part of daily routine. Avie groaned, threw herself back in her seat, crossed her arms, and took an angry bite out of her pizza that she had in her hands. I couldn't help but laugh.

"What's so funny?" Storm asked as he sat next to me. I shook my head.

"Just Avie being her typical drama queen self," I mumbled and watched as Sam came over and bent down to give Avie a kiss and then made a face.

"Ewe. You taste like pizza," he commented as he sat in the empty seat next to her. random fact, Sam hates pizza. Mainly because he thinks its too over-rated. Avery pouted.

"Not my fault you decided to kiss me," she mumbled while leaning so that she was up in Sam's face and then taking a unnecessarily large bite out of her pizza and chewing loudly with her mouth wide open. Sam groaned and stared at her.

"Are you done?" he asked when she finally swallowed the food in her mouth. She smiled and shook her head before planting a huge grease filled kiss right on his lips.

"Now I'm done," she said while grabbing a napkin and wiping her hands. Sam stared at her. He mouth glued shut.

"And how are you two still together?" Storm asked. They both turned to face him and shrugged. Sam grabbed a napkin and started wiping his mouth off.

"It's a mystery to us all," he murmured while wrapping his arm around her shoulder and pulling her close. They stared up at each other lovingly and I looked away to give them their privacy. After a minute I sighed and grabbed my bag, standing up. Nobody watched as I walked away from the table and out the cafeteria. It's not like I'm not used to it by now. I just wish at least one person would pay attention.

I walked the perimeter of the football field as I stared out into the forest. Maybe I could just walk away from life.....Or school at least. But somebody's gonna tell Blade and I really don't want to deal with the consequences.

"Hey!" I heard somebody call. I blinked and then looked around. I must have spaced out. I saw a boy come out from the forest and I stared in awe. He was absolutely gorgeous. I didn't even know how to start describing his looks. He was at least 5' 7" with broad shoulders yet pale skin and high cheekbones. He was wearing nothing but faded blue jeans and I couldn't help but stare at the faint outline of abs. It took me a minute to realize it but when I did, my eyes widened. He was walking towards me! I fought not to smile as he approached me but just as he opened his mouth to speak, he was stopped by a loud howl that sounded awfully close too. I took a small step back. That didn't sound like a howl I knew. He was a part of the Crimson pack. I could see it in his eyes. I was cowered in fear as he glared at nothing in the woods. Being around an angry member of the Crimson pack was the last thing anybody ever wanted to. Even if you caused it or not. It just wasn't something you wanted to deal with. They would kill you in an instant if they really wanted to. The mysterious boy took off running back to the woods in an incredible speed. Well, for me. It was really just a normal werewolves speed, maybe a little faster. But I'm not a normal werewolf. I'm an Omega werewolf. Making me slower. Not just because of my ranking but because I was smaller. And clumsier. Not lazier. Definitely not. I stayed fit. Mind you not. I sighed happily and headed back into the school. The Crimson pack was here.

I was nervous as I arrived home. I didn't know what to expect. I knew for sure that The Crimson pack  had arrived. I could smell their strong scent. It smelt kinda good. I thought to myself. My eyes widened in pure shock and sheer happiness at the same time. The only time another wolf packs scent smelled good to you was if your mate was a part of that pack. The thought made my heart race. After 17 years I finally found my mate. I didn't know what to do with myself. So I did the first thing that came to my mind and ran the rest of the way home. Wouldn't do any good standing in the middle of the sidewalk now would it?

"Mom," I breathed out when I burst into the house. She looked over at me a little surprised. There mom and dad sat with the alpha. He gave me a murderous glare and I shrank back a little. Leave it to him to make me feel uncomfortable in my own home.

"Oh. sweetie. Glad you could be here. Blade was just telling us that the Crimson pack had arrived," she said a little too sweetly. I nodded.

"That's great. If you'll excuse me," I mumbled while running up the stairs to my room.

"Was there something you wanted to tell me?" she called after me. I sighed and flopped down face first on my bed. "Hunter?!"

"No ma. It...It doesn't matter anymore," I said while trailing off at the end. I could hear my moms irritated sigh at my response. She knew how I felt about the alpha. Why in the name of fuck would she let him into our house? Because he's all of your alphas and you must show respect to him one of the dark corners in my mind retorted. I ignored it, thinking better thoughts. Like that guy that came from the woods and then disappeared without saying a single word to me. I could only hope that he was my mate.
