Dream entered his office, finding that Ink was sitting in a chair in front of his desk and looking rather bored. "So, why'd you go to, Pursuit Library if it's closed? And what was that, 'concerning energy'. Was the library upset?" Ink asked with a fake pout.
Dream rolled his eyes, walking over to his desk to put his claymore back as he spoke, "No, the library was not 'sad'. And I went there because of the energy I felt-"
Ink cut him off, not really meaning to. "Oh, did you meet anyone there?"
Dream nodded, sitting down in his chair, "I did in fact."
That had caught Ink's attention, "What's their name?"
"Their name is Errō." Dream replied, pausing for a moment, "Say, do you know if Error has a sibling?" He asked, narrowing his eyes.
Ink raised an eyebrow, "Uh- I'm not too sure... Why? Did Errō look like him or somethin'?"
Dream nodded, "Very similar to him, almost identical in fact, but they are also too different from each other." Dream shook his head, "I'm not sure, but I am concerned for Errō."
Errō just finished going through their inventory and found a few newer items. Being hair care items, along with instructions on how to use them. There were a few books for Errō, and uh- duck food? And more items for ducks? There was some more clothing and a sewing kit. Errō stared oddly at duck food for a moment but decided not to question it for now, it's probably there for a reason. So they didn't question it too much.
Errō closed their inventory and flopped down on their bed with their arms outstretched, covering their eyes with their arm when the sun hit their face. They stayed there, lying down for a few minutes before hearing the flapping of wings and quacking that came from downstairs. Errō sat up, a very confused look on their face. They sat up and cautiously made their way downstairs getting a few strings ready, the glitches on their body abruptly stopping at what they saw. There was a small duck on the floor, dramatically flapping its wings and quacking. The duck was almost white but with a slightly yellow hue to it. It stopped quacking when Errō came into its line of sight and waddled up to them, flapping its wings once more. Okay, well, now they know why there was duck food in their inventory.
Errō blinked once or twice before kneeling in front of the duck, letting the string hang loose, "Hey bud, how'd you get in here?" They asked, not really expecting an answer, but it never hurts to ask.
The duck quacked again, tucking its wings to its sides.
"Okay... Uh- you just walked in?" Errō guessed, more to themselves than to the duck. It definitely was weird that this random duck just showed up in their home right after they met Dream, but this whole situation was weird. Errō pressed their lips into a straight line, staying silent for a moment. "Would you like to come upstairs? For some reason I have a cat bed for you." Errō asked, standing up and absentmindedly fidgeting with the long sleeves of their jacket.
The duck quacked at Errō and followed them up the stairs and into their bedroom, hopping up on Errō's bed. Errō sat down next to it hesitantly raising a hand to pet it. Errō froze as the duck side-waddled into Errō's side and cuddled against them, eventually hopping up onto their lap. A smile started to form on Errō's face.
Blue hummed and opened a portal to Pursuit Library, noticing that some minor details have already been changed. There was a new bed of flowers, and the large sign had been taken down. The sign that was on the backside of the right door was flipped on the 'open' side, so he walked in, the bells announcing his presence. There was no one at the desk, so Blue decided to walk around and look at the books until someone came down. And someone did, the exact same person who he saw Dream speaking with yesterday they were carrying a duck? Whatever, that doesn't matter right now.
Errō smiled up from behind the desk, placing the duck, (now named Dandelion.) upon a small stack of unused boxes. They waved at Blue. "Hello, I'm Errō. Do you need help with finding anything?" They asked.
Blue hummed and walked over to the desk, raising an eyebrow at the duck, but paid it no mind. "Oh no, I just came in for a look around you could say... One of my close friends came in here yesterday." Blue started, "Oh! You can call me Blue." Blue stuck his hand out with a smile that couldn't quite be trusted.
Errō narrowed their eyes, pushing their glasses up and (as respectively as they could.) pushed Blue's hand away, trying to keep their glitching under control. "It's nice to meet you, Blue. Say which friend came in yesterday? There were quite a few people who came in."
Blue stared at Errō bemused for a moment before replying, "Oh it was Dream, I saw you two talking yesterday." Errō's face tensed for a moment; it was barely noticeable.
"So you were stalking us?" They asked bluntly.
"Ehhh, I wouldn't call it 'stalking' per se, but kinda yeah, I just wanted to know who my friend was talking to! I think that's perfectly understandable, don't you?" Blue defended, rolling his shoulders in a shrugging motion.
"You could've just came in?" Errō said, blinking in confusion.
"Well- yes I could've but I really didn't feel like it." Blue said before quickly changing the subject. "So, where are you from?"
Errō seemed annoyed with this question but they still answered it, "Far away."
Blue scoffed with a smile, "No, what AU are you from?" He snorted.
"I don't think that's any of your business, isn't it?" Errō mused, mimicking Blue's smile.
Blue hummed, "I suppose not, but, I'm very curious as to where you really came from." Blue smirked, continuing, "I mean, it just seemed like you just came out of nowhere! Surely you understand why I'm asking where you're from."
Errō hummed. They could see why Blue was curious about their old home, but it was still none of his business. Errō didn't like Blue already, they can't tell why, but something about him just isn't right... "I do indeed understand that, but it's none of your business." They said, rolling their head slightly to the left.
Blue's smile deflated just a bit. "I guess you're right." Blue stuck his hands in his pockets. "Well then, I guess I'll be seeing myself out." Blue turned around and walked out of the library. "I'll see you later!"
Dandelion quacked rather loudly, sounding annoyed.
Errō nodded in agreement, "Yeah, I don't trust him either."
Ink raised an eyebrow at Dream. "Why's that?"
Dream's eyebrows furrowed together, "You just should've seen them, their face was covered in scars, and- they're probably hiding more under all of those layers of clothes that they're wearing." Dream shook his head. "I mean and the way that they reacted to every little thing, how they flinched when I stuck my hand out for a handshake. They said that they had just gotten out of a bad situation." He explained without making eye contact with Ink, and instead staring worriedly at his desk.
"Huh, I guess that's a good reason to be worried. What are you gonna do about it?"
Dream was silent for a moment, "I'm not too sure yet, but I'll be visiting them tomorrow if I have enough free time."
