A bruised Bonnie woke up to Oren dabbing her wounds with a wet towel.
"Thanks... I'm sorry that we don't get to go home" her face fell after she said those words.
"Hey.. it's ok me and Kai are already working on the ascendent now." Oren smiled which made Bonnie smiled almost like a chain reaction.
"Wait.. Kai?" She asked, her smile immediately fading. "Kai.. as in the one that did this to me?"
"Well yes... but he's not that bad" Oren said sticking up for the sociopath.
"Not that bad?" She asked "Not that bad?!" "He shot an arrow into my arm!" She was practically shouting at Oren right now.
"Now.." Kai walks in "What's all the screaming about?"
Bonnie ignores him and goes to sleep. Leaving Kai and Oren walking to the next room.
"I heard what you said back there" Kai interrupted the eerie silence and awkwardness between them.
"About what?"oren asked
"That I'm not that bad.." Kai smiled. "You really think that?"
"Well... yeah of course your nice, funny-"
"Cute?" Kai winked at Oren which he found adorable.
"Maybe"
They made it to there destination which was where the broken ascendent laid.
"So where do we start?" Asked Oren eyeing each price carefully.
"Here" Kai leaned over towards Oren.
The next thing Oren felt was a pair of soft lips against his. The adrenaline kicking in, making the kiss deeper and longer.
Oren was the first to pull away.
"We shouldn't do this.." he started "Bonnie is relying on us to fix this ascendent to get us home not make out during the endless time we have."
"I guess your right" Kai looked dull and sad but Oren ignored it.
