Chapter 2

Darcy

I woke up the next day earlier than I expected, I guess I am too excited to see him. It's been years since I set my eyes and on him.

"I wonder how he would look like now, manly, probably more handsome and way cuter than I expected," I thought aloud, giggling like a child.

"I stare at the new apartment, I came in late yesterday, so I'm just getting to see how the place looked like, though I know it's going to be empty without Sarah," I walked around, with a cup of coffee.

"Shit!, I haven't called Sarah since last night, I'm sure going to get scolded for that," I dashed into the bedroom and dialed her number hurriedly on my phone.

Before the second ring ended, she had picked the call and I could hear her breathing from the phone.

"You promised to keep me updated Darcy," she said in a pitched in tone, and I had to withdraw the phone from my precious ears.

"I'm sorry babe, I was tired and when u got home, I just slept off immediately, I hope you aren't mad at me," I stated the last one fearfully, while I stare at the waiting for her response.

"Well, to be truthful I was actually so furious at you, but now that you explained yourself, I might as well consider not scolding you again," she said in a harsh tone, while I chuckled.

"So getting ready for your first day," she asked calmer and I nod my head like she could see me.

"Yes, I am. I just hope it goes great," I said in a sad tone and collapsed on the bed with the phone still in my hands.

"Hey it's going to go perfect, you just have to look good and wear his favorite color remember," she said and my lips curve into a smile as I thought of the red gown I had bought a week ago.

"You're the best Sarah, I got to go, love you, kisses," I said over the phone and quickly dashed into the bathroom in hurry.

"Thank you for the ride," I said to the strange guy who had insisted on giving me a ride here which I was grateful for. I guess today is my lucky day.

I breathe out staring at the huge company in front of me and a smile crept on my face, he had achieved a lot I thought.

I took a bold step, and stare at my beautiful blue body hug gown. I pushed the glass door open and walked in.

I was welcomed by the beautiful fragrance that hit my nose immediately after I got into the company. I turn to my left and there I saw the reception who flashed me a warm smile.

I walked up to her and explained to her that I was happy but sad when I looked at the news and discovered about them hiring new PA I was glad.

Suddenly everywhere became quiet, and when I looked around, I saw Fredrick, walked into the office with so much authority and Aura. He was surrounded by his securities.

When I turn my eyes to stare at his workers, they all seem to be lost in their moment as they kept staring at their boss who was long gone, making me roll my eyes.

"They shouldn't even drool over him, because he belongs to me" I mumbled with gritted teeth.

"Hey Max, you stay behind, I'll be needing you to escort me someplace before we get home, but please, for now, get me the list of the application for those who are interested in becoming my pa," I thought and try to get my mind of the lady I had seen.

I settled down in my office, but my mind couldn't get away from the face I had seen, "could she be the one?, Or am I beginning to see things?"  I asked myself as I breathe out heavily.

I sat down and turned on my laptop, I begin to work on the unfinished work from last night when the door burst open and Max walked in with a bulk of files which made me laugh.

Thanks, Max, let's get back to work he said with a smile on his face while I smiled back too.

A few minutes later, I couldn't stay silent about the face I had seen, so I had to send max to confirm, only he can tell me who the woman is and if I was just seeing things.

"Hey, Max, could you do something for me," I asked and he lifted his head staring at me as he waited for me to speak up but u hesitated for a while thinking about it.

"What can I do for you boss?" He said and called back my attention while I sighed heavily.

"Darcy, I think she's here amongst the applicants, could you find out," I said and he stared at me with wide eyes pointing at my door while I nod my head affirmatively before he hurriedly got up to find out.

"She's the one boss,  the exact description, she's here," max said immediately he got into my office and my heart skipped a bit.

"She came here, but why?,  As if she was invited to come this far," I questioned and he stares at me sadly.

"He knows how she left me, how she abandoned me without looking back, she had totally forgotten about how much I would do anything to see her smile, how much I love and care about her," I thought in anger as I throw the files and every other file away in anger.

"Boss, please you need to calm down, we can easily reject her application and this would be over," he said truthfully but I wasn't having it.

"Such guts," I mumbled in anger while he sighed as he helped me to my seat. She had the guts to show her face in my company after so many years.

"No, there's no way I would just let her go," I thought with a smirk on my face. She has to pay that's for sure! I concluded.

"Max, send all the applicants away except miss Darcy, she's the new PA," I said with my eyes bloodshot while he looked at me in shock, and walked out of my office.
