Piece by Piece By Kelly Clarkson
Pain is a word described in so many ways the ways Heather describes it is to painful to remember. The time when she was told she wasn't worth it and useless, that she was told no one would love her, the time she felt she was alone. She felt like she had been broken into millions of pieces that no one could pick up and glue together.
Expect him. He came into her life and glued the pieces together with ease, he filled the millions of cracks over and over again when they started to show up. Sure the scars were still there but they didn't hurt, those scars turned into compliments and were covered by love and affection Heather never knew was possible.
Sometimes when the millions of pieces that had been broken and made up her were filled with love he would break into a million pieces that no one again could glue together. Expect her. Like he did for her, she glued the pieces together with ease. She saw his cracks and filled them up over again when they showed up. His scars were still there though but he hid those scars so she wouldn't see, which didn't work. She saw the scars and filled them with the same love and affection he did to her.
Sometimes you feel worthless but there is always someone in your life who cares and loves you. The scars won't go away but they will get better and be filled with love.
"But piece by piece, he collected me up
Off the ground, where you abandoned things, yeah
Piece by piece, he filled the holes that you burned in me
At six years old and you know
He never walks away
He never asks for money
He takes care of me
He loves me
Piece by piece, he restored my faith
That a man can be kind and a father could stay""Piece by piece, I fell far from the tree
I will never leave her like you left me
And she will never have to wonder her worth
Because unlike you, I'm gonna put her first and you know
He'll never walk away
He'll never break her heart
He'll take care of things, he'll love her
Piece by piece, he restored my faith
That a man can be kind and the father should be great". -Kelly Clarkson
