“Why did we get the farthest location” Elfman groaned as they trudged through the forest heading towards the town everyone agreed to meet to or make their way back to the guild.

“Don’t worry were almost there” Wendy giggled as Elfman suddenly stood upright. “A man who has true patience is a man”

Mira chuckled rolling her eyes. “We need to hurry and get this key back to the guild so we won’t be meeting the others. We’re heading towards the train station in the town.”

“Why so soon Mira-san?” Wendy asked confused.

“I have a bad feeling” She whispered but Wendy caught it with her heightened senses putting her on instant alert.

“What’s wrong?” Wendy asked tensing.

“Nothing just a stupid feeling” Mira shook it off bringing a smile to her face. “Don’t worry about it.”

Elfman oblivious caught sight of the town a few miles away. “Were almost there”

“Oh good I thought we were going to have to camp out in the forest” Charla sighed in relief. ‘I’ve already been getting the hibbie jibbies since we got that key. And that warning the guardian sent out….’ She shook the thoughts off.

She shouldn’t think about it.

The team tensed as they heard rustling and gasped as a battered Lisanna came towards them.

“Oh my Lisanna!” Mira gasped running forward to hold her up. “What happened?!” Wendy immediately went to work healing her injuries.

“I-I don’t remember but I think Nastu- he went crazy influenced by the power of the key.” She gasped out.

“What?! What happened to Lucy and Erza?” Mira asked worried. “I don’t know but I think they still believe Nastu is the same Nastu we’ve known. He got to me alone, He’s picking us off one by one luckily I managed to escape but the others are still in danger.”

“Erza and Lucy are man they will be fine.” Elfman spoke. ’hopefully’

“I guess but what will happen if they do notice? How will they take care of it, by the extent of your injuries, I’ll say Nastu is not afraid to kill any of them” Wendy said worried for Lucy and Erza.

“Let’s just hope he doesn’t succeed” Lisanna sighed while Charla watched suspiciously.

Something is wrong here.

“You sure did a number on her little red” Zeref chuckled as he watched the girl Lisanna feed them lies. “Yet you still found a way to use it” He turned towards Lucy. “Smart”

 “Thank you Master” Lucy smirked resisting the urge to bite her lips from nervousness.

Zeref smirked feeling her nervousness.

“So little red have any memory of the last time we saw each other.” Zeref’s smirk widened as she tensed along with Demon at the corner of his eyes.

“Umm” Lucy chuckled nervously “I have no memory?” She stated though it sounded more like a question.

Zeref chuckled amused “Sweetheart, your amnesia story may have worked on fairytail but not me” He stalked up to her making her widen her eyes at his close proximity as Daemon clenched his fist trying to keep calm.

“Though if you do have amnesia, how about I refresh your mind” He didn’t give her any time to answer before crashing his lips onto hers.

She was shocked standing frigid as the world’s most dangerous dark wizard was kissing her.

It took a while till she finally melted into his kiss. For a cold guy he sure has warm soft lips.

She was brought back to earth at a loud growl jumping away from him she snapped her head towards Daemon who glared at them with his red eyes.

Lucy blinked in confusion as an emotion flashed through his eyes. “I’m going to keep track of them” He spoke through clenched teeth before disappearing.

‘Probably angry I kissed him, he always didn’t like the thought I was becoming master’s favorite’ Lucy mused oblivious to Zeref’s satisfied smirk as he stared at the spot Daemon stood.

Lucy cleared her throat awkwardly. “Soooo”

Zeref grinned a glint coming to his eyes as he pinned her to the wall. “How about we keep busy till an opportunity come to get the last key.”

As she kissed him Lucy realized.

She’s fallen in love with him.

This was no longer about revenge, nor a way to get over the betrayal and hurt over someone who she loved before.

Loved.

She never thought she would be using that word towards Nastu, even when he said the most hurtful things.

She was now in love with the most dangerous wizard with a plan to rule the magic world and she would do anything for his happiness.

Even die for him.

Zeref smirked against her lips at her thoughts.

‘That’s what I’m aiming for darling’
