When I was done with the blueprint for the case I was tired as fuck, it was not a complicated matter but this was my first corporate case, I had assisted James in cases like these here and there but this was my solo ride and as per boss if I nailed this case then there is promotion to be followed hence I was working my ass off on this.
As I was about to close the files I heard knock on my door and heard Briana's voice and behind her was my boss and my bestfriend James. We were about to leave and saw your light on so thought we would stop by said Bri. James on the other hand was just staring at Bri, the apple of his eye as he states. They are so perfect for each other, one is this hot shot career oriented and the other is cool, calm and collected. We all met during Yale days, Bri is 2 yrs senior than me and James but that did not stop our lover boy to follow her around like a lost puppy which finally melted our girl and here they are 5 yrs later.
Hey puppy doe eyes, your so called friend has agreed to met me 3 days from now, I am almost done with the basic plan. He just gave me a wink and had the same mischievous smirk that Nina had this morning. Whats going on, why is everyone giving me that funny smirk, is there something ya'll know that I don't, are you pregnant I asked Bri?! She just gave me a stink eye which I assume is a hard no.
When I reached my loft it was already 6:30 in the evening, Seattle traffic is getting worst, but as soon as I open the front door my legs gets engulfed in a hug and a deep blue set of eyes that remind me of serene blue ocean everytime I look at them, my baby, my life the reason of my being my baby Joshua, or as we all call him Jo.
Mama home, mama huggie Jo, Jo missed mama he shout all these in his baby jabber, to get my attention so I would carry him. I carry him in my arms and shower him with kisses so I can hear his giggles and laughs which fills my heart with all happiness that you can find in this world. On the back ground I see Nina lying on the floor with her eyes open.
You are so dramatic do you know that, I tell her. She looks at me and then looks at Jo, what do you feed him he is fucking unstopable she says. Language Nina I tell her as Jo climbs out of my lap brings the swear jar and puts it infront of Nina. No I already put 20 freaking dollar as I walked in today, you are killing me Jo she tells him shaking her head, which makes Jo giggle.
I thanked Nina on her way out of loft as she was leaving after dinner, there was some problem in Jo's preschool so they had to send him home early, I was tied in a meeting so Nina came home to babysit him. Even though she is dramatic and has no filter for speaking her mind but she loves Jo just as much. She is his aunty Nini.
After she left and Jo was tucked in his bed with his buzz lightyear , I sat down and finished paper work for few other pending cases and send James the plan for the new case and called it a night.
