I woke up on a Saturday morning so I went downstairs and got some breakfast. Mum was sat having some toast while she was on her phone. " morning hun, I need to talk to you" mum said looking a bit nervous, I wonder what she is going to say. " how would you like to be my bridesmaid?" She asked me what was she talking about she has a boyfriend and hasn't even told me? That would probably explain why she is never home. " you are getting married" I asked " yeah surprise" she said happily " why didn't you tell me mum" I shouted because we never keep anything from each other " I didn't tell you because u would of gone mad at me " " I probably more mad now because you kept it from me!" I ran upstairs not knowing what just happened me and my mum never argu even when i didn't get my own way.when I got upstairs I heard the front door close, so I went over to my window and saw my mum get into her car and drive off. Maybe I shouldn't of shouted at her, I feel bad now because we never fight and she is the only thing I have to family. I dicided to ring her.
" hey mum" I said " oh hi Mackenzie" she sounded like she was crying " I'm so sorry mum it was just a big shock to me and I would love to be your bridesmaid I love you so much" I said with tears starting to fall down my eyes. " it's ok Kenzie ( Mackenzie's nickname) and I am at my boyfriends house so I will be home soon and then we can go dress shopping" she said calmly " sounds fun" then she hung up I put my phone on the bed side to charge, then I got got my batman skirt and black crop top and black high tops. When I was changed I decided to loosely curl my hair and put my makeup on, mascara, foundation, etc. I heard the door open so I knew it was my mum I grabed my bag and purse and went downstairs to see her. " ready Kenzie" she asked calmly " yeah let's go!" I said excitedly I was excited to find out what dress I was getting we were a,so picking mums dress out I can wait to see her in a beautiful dress. We arrived at the shop and there where loads of different coloured dresses it was amazing. " Mackenzie go pick a dress you like and show me it ok" " ok mum" I went over to the bridesmaid dress and picked out a beautiful lilac dress with diamonds on the chest and the back, I loved it. Oh Yeah I forgot to tell you purple and red are my favourite colours.
I went into the dressing rooms and put the dress omit suited me really well and fitted perfectly. I came out and went over to my mum who was looking at the wedding dresses." Hey mum what about this?" I looked at my mum with happy eyes " Kenzie it's beautiful I love it, you have good taste in dresses" mum said to me while laughing the end part. She gave me £150 to buy the dress so I went over to the counter and bought the dress, then went to my mum who was picked out a dress that she liked. She went to go try it on mean while I went on my phone see what was Facebook and Twitter. My mum came out of the changing room and I was speechless she looked amazing I had tears in my eyes. This man is so lucky to her, I hope he treats her right....
