STORMI CARTER"Mmm." I hummed deeply in thought as I contemplated on whether or not I should pick this dress for the occasion. Tilting my head to the side, I stared at the gown from a different angle and studied it for a bit longer, trying to make an effort to see if there was anything that I liked about it. And of course, it didn't last long before my patience ran thin. I let out an annoyed breath, putting the pink gown back onto the rack. "Another failed attempt." I mumbled to myself, searching for something else to catch my eye.
Unfortunately this is now the 4th trip I've taken to the mall this week, all for one thing. A freaking outfit. Yet I still can't seem to find one that I happen to like. I paused for a moment and quickly considered saying forget it and just wear something else, but I realized I didn't want to settle for anything less. I wanted this to be perfect. I've waited for this nearly my whole life. "Girl," I heard a familiar voice chime in from behind me. It was Arielle.
"Yeah?"
"You still haven't found anything?" She asked me, looking through some more racks. I had her and the rest of the girls help me out with the search but so far no luck. I had tried on more than 10 already and ended up not being fond of how any of them looked on me. I shook my head at her question which lead to her sigh.
"Wait wait wait! Don't gets your panties in a twist just yet hoe." I heard the clicking of heels and soon enough, Chanel appeared within my peripheral vision. She looked between Arielle and I, holding up a dress she found. "I think I may have saved the day." The gorgeous hispanic woman gushed, waving the dress in my face before shoving it into my arms. I didn't have the chance to really look at it because she was already pushing me away from Arielle into the dressing room. "You said you were looking for something sexy right?"
"Uh, yeah?" I answered.
"Perfect." Chanel replied as she dragged me into one of the stalls, closing and locking the door behind us once we were in. "Get those clothes off and put it on."
"Do you have to be in here?" I questioned her, pulling my shirt over my head. She averted her gaze from my chest and looked me in the eye. Most likely to avoid doing anything we shouldn't in public. Otherwise, she wouldn't have cared to look away.
"Yes." She crosses her arms. "I picked it out, so I get to be the first one to see you in it. Go, hurry up." Chanel orders.
I didn't think that was why she wanted to stay in here but I left it alone, knowing I wouldn't get a truthful answer out of her if I pressed the matter. I discarded my clothing, shoving each item into Chanel's arms as she watched me undress. I took the black sheer dress she picked out off the hanger and stepped into it with the help of Chanel lacing the backside up for me. I guess I needed her in here after all.
"Oh wow." She gasped, turning me toward the full body mirror so that I could have a look at the dress myself. Chanel's mouth remained agape as she took in my very revealing appearance in the mirror. I couldn't help but to mimic her expression. This definitely was the one for me. It fit my vision perfectly. How the hell did Chanel manage to find my dream dress while I couldn't? "Oh yeah. This is perfect." She told me to wait here as she went to grab the other girls.
Not even 30 seconds later they were all standing in front of me, inspecting the scandalous tight fitting piece in approval. "You've done well, Chanel." Complimented Cherry as she motioned for me to do a quick 360. Regina gasped. I couldn't tell if she was surprised or pleased. Nothing was ever clear with her. "You've got the body for it. You're wearing that dress. There are no other options."
"Wait but what would I-"
"What about these heels?" Regina asked cut me off by asking a question, holding up a simple pair of black strapped pumps. I tilted my head to the side as I gave her a 'you're shitting me, right?' Stare. It took a minute for her to get the message, but when she did, the gorgeous blonde gasped and apologized profusely. "Oh my god! I forgot your feet are like, hideous. I'll put them back quickly." My mouth dropped open. "Can't have you scaring your guests off."
