"Do you know her, the new maid? She is the younger sister of the Queen, I heard that she was abandoned by the Queen after the Queen married the King." The maid whispered to each other while giving you side looks. "So pitiful." You ignored all the whispers and finished folding the last blanket before setting it in the basket.
"Why would my sister abandon me? She will come get me soon." You persuade yourself while getting ready to go sleep in the maid's shared room. You laid on the ground with the younger maids who was ready to finally rest for the day. The doors opened making all the maids stand in line. "Court lady, what brings you here?" The oldest maid ask. "Lim Y/N? Is she here?" All the maids turned towards you. "Yes, that is me." You answered making the court lady walk to you. "Follow me." You were confused following the court lady who walk into the main palace. "Where are w-we going?" You ask curiously with you head low. "Just follow me and don't ask question. You will find out once we get there." You finally arrived into an unknown door in the palace. "Y/N is here your highness." 'Highness? Hera?' You thought to yourself. "Bring her in." The maids opened the door allowing you to enter. "Your highness." You bowed with your heads down. "Lift your head up." The Queen coldly said. "Lowering your heads towards me only make me look like the bad guy. I heard many of the maids talking about how I abandon you. Do you enjoy hearing people make assumptions about me?"
"No! I had never thought that." The Queen laugh. "Forget about it. Aren't you curious of why I brought you here?"
"It must be something important isn't it?" You questioned. "I need you to do something for me." You raised an eyebrow waiting for her request. "Sleep with the King for one night, carry the crown prince for me." You were shock, you couldn't do it. You were silent. "I am unable to have children, the future cannot go on without a crown prince." The Queen's confession made you speechless. "I-I." "Tonight, sleep with the King." You bit your lips. "I-I will do it." The Queen got up sitting down in front of you. "Of course, you are still the obedient sister I know." You forced a smile knowing you didn't want to do it.
You had followed the Queen to the Kings Room. "Spend the night here with the King, he already knows and agree to this." You grabbed your sisters arm nervously. "What if I end up not giving birth to a boy and instead a girl?" The Queen smiled in reassurance. "Then we can do it again. Go, two maids will be in the room behind a paper wall monitoring, I will be here outside if you need anything." The door was opened from the inside revealing a maid. "It is time now." The maid pulled you into the room standing behind the paper wall. You made eye contact with the King, Yunho. "Y/N." You and Yunho were close, you knew Yunho before your sister did. Yunho was in his white sleeping clothes. You sat down in front of Yunho who stared at you. Yunho reached over to you untying your clothes. "Y-your highness." You stop his hands. "Are you not ok with this." Yunho softly said. You avoid eye contact with the King. "Trust me, everything will be fine." The King continued untying your clothes while you look away closing your eyes. That night, every sound you and the King made was heard even outside the room. The Queen clenched her dress breathing slowly as her anger rises up. She felt useless, she wasn't the one carrying the crown prince, she wasn't the one in Yunho's arms. After that night you began to have your own room. Maids followed you and took care of you knowing you could have a baby on the way. You felt uncomfortable with so many people caring for you, Yunho had been getting along with you much more always spending time with you.
"Congrats! You are pregnant with a child." The doctor took of his hand from your wrist. "The baby have a healthy heartbeat, I am sure your child will be born healthy." Yunho smiled hugging you, the Queen sat silently watching Yunho hug you, jealousy filled her but she knew she couldn't act up. You smiled feeling relieved that you could give have children for the King. "What would you like to eat? I will ask the chef's to make the best food out there." You shook your head. "Right now I just want to eat rice porridge." Yunho frowned. "Eating that small will not help you or the baby. I will get you good food just wait here." Yunho left the room leaving you and the Queen. "You seem to make the King so happy." The Queen said, you could feel how her tone change. "It is not me, it is just the child. Once I give birth everything will go back to place." The Queen smiled. "It will surely go back just to how it was." An evil smirk left her lips.It was the final month before your delivery, the stars where looking brighter than ever, you stood near the lake watching the moon reflect in the water. "You know what Y/N?" You where startled by the Queens voice. "Everything I have, you easily take it. Seeing you happy makes me angry." The Queen turned towards you. You raised an eyebrow confused. "Y-your highness, I don't quite understand what you are trying to say?" You questioned. "You don't have to understand, once you give birth you will." The Queen began walking away. You knew what the Queen said but you didn't want to believe. 'Why would she say that to me? Did I do something wrong?' You didn't want to accept the truth, was there a misunderstanding? Your stomach began hurting making you cry in pain. "Your highness are you ok?!" The maids help you to your room calling the doctor. The news quickly made it to Yunho, he nervously waited outside the nursing room hearing how you scream in pain. "Please please please" Yunho prayed worriedly. The sound of a baby crying made Yunho relief. The maid came running outside. "Congratulations your highness, you have a baby boy." Yunho smiled brightly.
