16 years later...
Alice POV
"I'll see you tonight" I said as I walked away. I didn't want Anistasia to see that I was crying. She had raised me as her own when nobody else even cared about me. I had finally decided to run away. I didn't want to, but I knew that there were people out there that were looking for me; people that might actually be my family. Anistasia obviously didn't like talking about my family so the only thing I knew is that they were in a different world and Anistasia had raised my brother as well. As soon as I was out of her sight I ran as fast as I could to the docks. When I finally got there I heard the scrabbling a moment too late. The rat jumped out of its hiding place and ran towards my foot. I screamed and took a step backwards only to realize I was right near the edge of the docks and I lost my footing. I fell into the water and began to swim towards my ship. "HELP! SOMEBODY! PLEASE! HELP!" but nobody heard my cries. I was about to give up hope when I noticed another boat not to far away. I had been swimming for about half an hour when I realized that the boat was heading way from me. I could feel my legs getting tired and my heavy dress dragging me down...
Black Beard POV
"We'll be stopping by the tavern to get a drink and drop off our hostages" I told my crew so that they would work harder so that we could actually get there today.
"But cap'n... the tavern is miles away. We'll never make it there in time"
"Oh is that so?" I replied holding a gun to his head.
"Actually now that I think about it..."
"That's what I thought!"
"Now go feed the hostages"
"Of course cap'n"
"As for all of you... work faster! I am going to bed" I said stifling a yawn. I got to my chamber and collapsed on my bed from exhaustion and chuckled to myself. It may not look like it, but it's tiring bossing people around...
The next day...
We had just left the docks and I was about to go to my chamber when I heard somebody yell.
"There's something just underneath the water cap'n!"
"Well what is it you idiot?!" I snapped. I was tired and frustrated so I didn't really care what he thought of me at that very moment.
"It lookes like a dress cap'n"
"Does it have something in it?"
"Yes actually it does cap'n!"
"Does it look like a girl?"
"Aye"
"Pull her in"
