I sat down with Jiwoo on our dinner table, my wrist bandaged up as I held an icepack on top of the bandages.

Jiwoo looked at me sadly, leaning her head onto her palm.

"you sure you're okay?" She sighed as I nodded for the 10th time already.

It had turned out that my wrist was swollen, so they gave me an icepack to cool it down a bit. Good thing is that I could miss two classes with Jiwoo.

The bell rang, signalling all the students to go to their next class.

We both stood up, slowly heading in the queue of students flooding the exit of the dinner hall.

The huddle of students suddenly pushed forward, me and Jiwoo bumped into the people in front of us, having a domino effect on them.

The tall figure turned around, locking direct eye contact with me. I gulped, looking at Sunghoon's cold face.

"im-"

Before I could say anything, he lightly grabbed my shoulder, pushing me in front of him.

I kept silent, walking forward quietly. As the crowds finally dispersed into the corridors, I waited for Jiwoo. She ran up to me, widening her mouth.

"what's his problem with you?!?!" Jiwoo said, hinting at Sunghoon.

"he's just friendly, I guess..?" I replied as she crossed her arms.

"you're telling me he put you in front of him so you wouldn't injure your wrist even more, that's a friendly action?! that boy is in love." She cheered loudly, jumping around.

I stared at her, blinking blankly.

"hey! get that out of your head." I slapped the back of her head lightly, walking to our next class.

We entered the English classroom, sitting down in our seats. The last bell rang, teacher walking in.

"SIR!! what are we doing today?!" One of the students shouted from across the classroom.

"groupwork!!"

An audible cheer came from the students, already pairing themselves with eachother. Jiwoo looked at me in excitement as I just shrugged.

No matter how much everyone liked groupwork, I know I will always end up with the worst group.

He layered his papers on his desk, neatening them all at the same level.

The teacher cleared his throat as everyone went silent, staring at him.

"group project, I have organised the teams." He spoke, a bunch of groans came from around the classroom, "-everyone has to put in the same amount of effort, if I see that you haven't done anything, only you will be graded zero."

A bunch of sighs flew around the classroom.

"understood?" He asked.

"yes sir." We all spoke at the same time.

"good, now, if you don't mind me, I'll be reading out the teams of 5." He pulled the first sheet of paper.

He read the few names out of a few pieces of paper, some were good, some were bad. He had gone through a lot of papers, and the remaining students did not look promising.

"alright, next group." He put his glasses on.

"Jiwoo, Yerin, Jaehyun-"

I looked at Jiwoo, the group wasn't so bad yet, but there were a remaining two people to be added.

Hoping it was just not the two I was thinking of.
