Even if for once.
Yoongi always preferred to be punctual no matter the occasion. He idea of someone having to wait for him, because of his own mistakes and tardiness tasted bitter to him. And so, he always made to be right on time. And even though, he knew his friends at times succumbed to their nerves when they weren't on time for something, but he never truly faced the problem. During the few rare occasions when he was, behind the scheduled time, he didn't feel affected. He didn't feel guilty, nor anxious. He would simply apologize for his tardiness and continue with whatever he had gone for.
And so, today, when he found himself nervously tapping his fingers as he waited for his friend, eyes glancing to the clock every few second, and lip pulled in between his teeth, it was a new experience. He wasn't properly late. Perhaps by a few minutes. Something that could be ignored, and he would ignore it were the circumstances difference. Were the person who was waiting for him, had been anyone apart from Jimin.
His raced hammered against his ribs; full of anxiety. Biting down on his lips hard enough to draw blood. And as he watched the hands of the time shift by another dot, he spoke out loud, "Joon are you done yet?"
"A little bit more time!" Came the answer. Voice lacking any sense of urgency and it irked Yoongi a bit. But he didn't voice out the slight vexation. "Just making sure all the papers are in correct order."
Yoongi did not need to wait for his friends. He had to travel farther and it would be understandable if he just walked into the room and collect all the papers himself. He could arrange them on his way. But Jungkook and Namjoon had requested him to wait so that they could go together. And hence, Yoongi had decided to leave earlier than usual. But eventually all of it went in vain.
Namjoon wasn't in a hurry. He was only going to spent some time with his colleagues to talk over a project, and Yoongi knew none of them were ever in time.
He sucked in a sharp breath, eyes glancing to the dusky sky. The sun had set a little while, and there was still before night actually fell in.
"Jungkook!" Yoongi called. Wondering if the younger was ready or not. He was going to visit his other moon born friends, something about a competition coming up. A few seconds after he had called, Jungkook seemed to materialize out of thin air. Right behind Yoongi. Starling the elder male.
"Good god!" Yoongi yelped, jerking forward as his heart raced faster due to the shock. "Why would you- never mind." He turned around, eyebrows rising when he saw Jungkook's mouth was full, and bowl of noodles in his hand.
"Why are you eating now of all the time?" Yoongi asked in a slight exasperated manner. "You ate not an hour ago!"
Jungkook stopped chewing, eyes glancing around as if he seemed to consider the elder's word. Then with a casual shrug of his shoulders he resumed eating as if Yoongi wasn't chiding about it.
