Chapter 5: Caspian

"It's hard being in your group Alon, how can you master bending all the elements? It's hard to master one how much more if you're going to study all?" Blessica asked Alon. "Freshmen year is the year where all of our subjects are general bending which means that we aren't mastering anything yet but after sophomore year we'll pick an element that we truly want to master and study their specialties and details in junior and senior year." Alon explained which made Blessica nod.

"Is there a chance that we couldn't use our powers?" I asked out of the blue which made them confused but answered my question anyway, they told me that whenever we use our powers, we should be calm, and as much as possible, we should have the stamina to do so. That explains why I couldn't use my powers a few days ago when I was in the kingdom of Caspian. I remembered I was exhausted and panicking.

"What's up with you? You've been weird since the night we went out. We shouldn't have left you." Blessica asked me worriedly. I told her I'm fine even though I know I'm not. I'm still confused and scared because of that incident.

"In fact, Therondians are the enemies of us Caspians" the guy said. "Wait, I haven't seen you before here did I?" they slowly walked towards me and there I saw that they have weapons with them. OMG, I'm going to die! "You're a visitor right?" the guy asked that made me nod. Technically, I am a visitor since I'm new to this world. They believed in what I said because it makes sense to them since I do not know the directions here. "Well, we're going to leave you here since our parents are worried already. Stay safe especially because there are bad guys just out here somewhere." the guy said as if he was implying something and I think it's directly for the Therondians. I'm shocked at what happened and I can't seem to process information. What a night. I've only been here for a day and a lot of things have already happened. 

As if on cue, I heard someone shouting my name. I'm sure it was Blessica, I tried using my powers again and fortunately, it worked. I teleported to Therondia again and there I saw my friends. Blessica gave me a lecture the moment she saw me. My gosh! One thing to be happy about within this world is that my mother won't lecture me but then there's Blessica who replaced her. She pulled me towards our room and there I slept since I'm exhausted. What a day.

Days passed and I'm still receiving clothes from R.M. I do not know what their purpose is but I do not have a choice but to wear what they offer. 

"ANGELINE!!!" they all shouted at the same time which made me come back to my senses. "You are always spacing out, we're worried." Alon said but I assured them I'm fine even though it's been days since I always space out. I've been here for days already but I still didn't find any answers about my identity. I fear that I might stay here longer than I imagined. The reason we're together right now is that it's lunchtime and we're about to go to the cafeteria. The cafeteria here is different from Manila, there are no long lines in which we need to wait for our turn to order our food and wait again for it to cook. We immediately sat down to the vacant seats and a midget which they called a gnome came serving our food.

Wow! Today's food is sopas and I can say that they put high quality ingredients here. By the looks of it, I can say that this will be delicious. Alon wants a really hot sopas that's why he used his bending and slightly turned up the fire near his food. I tried doing it so that I can practice my bending as well. I also tried controlling the spoon with telekinesis and fed myself without lifting a finger. Sooner, I think I can master my power already. My friends praised me but there is still something I couldn't get off my mind.

"Are there any other places here in Cassiopeia aside from the Kingdom of Therondia?" I asked out of the blue and they replied with a nod. According to them, Cassiopeia is too big to just have one place. "Who are the Caspians?" I asked bluntly and they were all shocked at what I just asked. They kept on asking me questions like how did I know such a place. They haven't really answered my question since they just said that they are Therondian's enemies which I already found out days ago. What I mean is who are they and what did they do for them to deserve such hate? I assumed they don't really know what happened since they said to just ask the king and queen for answers.

After class, as usual, Blessica invited me to hang out with them but I refused. I need alone time and I need answers. I have so many questions since I got here and none of them has been answered. All I got was more questions to ask. Therondia is big. I almost got lost on my way to the castle. The moment I saw the castle, I was about to go in but the guards stopped me from doing so. I told them that I needed to talk to the queen and they accompanied me towards her. They guided me upstairs and made me go to the room I was in the first day I was here. I knocked on the door and opened it and there I saw the queen staring at a picture frame, crying. She immediately wiped her tears the moment she saw me and stood up to show that she is tough. She asked me what I need and told her I just needed to ask something. She gestured me to come inside the room and so I did.

"I want to know who are the Caspians." I bluntly said and it made the queen shocked. She was shocked, angry, and sad at the same time. "Where did you hear that profane name?!" She angrily asked. I couldn't speak. I was so scared. She immediately tried to calm down and apologized to me after and told the story of the Caspians.

"Two of the first people in the world of Cassiopeia are King Therondia and King Caspian. They desire one thing and that's the ring of Cassiopeia that gives immortality when worn because of that, both kings fought and Caspian stabbed King Therondia." she explained. "But that was in the past. That incident is history already. Why do you still hold grudge to what happened before?" She sobbed after I asked that question. I do not know what to do. Do I comfort her? She showed me the picture she was holding earlier. That was the picture of the little girl I saw last time. "That was my daughter, Prinsesa Hiwaga." she said while still crying. I asked her where she is now which made her cry more. 

"She's dead." she wailed. "The prince of Caspian murdered her." She said with anger but still crying.
