Five pillars of ISLAM, which are indeed one hundred percent mandatory upon every muslim believer for life time.
1. FAITH(SHAHADA)
One of the six kalimas (oath or testimony). The third kalima (also known as shahadah) is the act of bearing the witness. A belief word addressing certainty of islam that, "There is no one worthy of worship but Allah and i testify that prophet Mohammed (saw) is the servent and messenger of the allah".
Is termed as the first and most important pillar of the true believer of islam.
(It is said that, the non muslim whoever shows faith in Islam and wants to dedicate his/her life in worshipping of Allah. This kalima is the testimony or the declaration to get converted or the first step of showing his/her faith in Allah, now on as a muslim).2. PRAYER (SALAH)
It is the daily obligatory prayer (also known as salah or salat) to be done five times a day at dawn, noon, afternoon and night facing towards mecca, followed by ablution(wudu) as a part. It is intended as a muslim pray directly to the almighty (allah s.w.t) as no intermediate is in between. It is the twin testimony of faith, more like an evidence. Adhan (the prayer call), called before every salah in the mosque. Precisely, the salah starts with taqbeer(Allahhuakbar) and during poster changes, which are done in a systematic manner. Surah al-fathiha which was revealed on prophet mohammed, is to be read in every salah. surah fatiha also known as ummul-Quran (mother of quran) because it is the gist and essence of Quran. Another name of Al-fatiha is surat-us-salat ( essence of namaz ) which means without this, nobody's salath is considered [Al-Bukhari]. Salat purifies heart, soul, developes gratitude whilst, one bow downs to ground during poster changes in salat which demonstrates our humanity and devotion towards Allah with no proud. Prophet Mohammed saw says that the coolness of his eyes is in salah and the remark of hadhrat jibraeel (a.s)Prophet Mohammed saw explained,"When a muslim performs wadhu properly and performs his five salahs, his sins fall off him just as leave have fallen from a dry branch when it's shaked".
"Everyone among you will be deemed to be occupied in salat constantly so long as salat detains him(from worldly concern and nothing prevents him from returning to his family but salat".[Al-Bukhari]
Umar ibn khattab (r.a) said,
He who abandons the prayer has nothing to do at all with the religion of islam.Salah has been made beloved to you, so take from it as much as you please.[Al bidaayah wan nihaayah]
3. ZAKAT(ALMS GIVING)
Alms giving, charity, zakat, sadakha( in arabic) is the act of generosity that nothing in this world is truly ours and accepting all the standards, indeed Allah is the giver. zakat means "purifying" or "growth", indeed zakat is the act of purifying the unlawful money and yourself. It also tells that islam encourages charity, helping mankind as a obligatory act as we all are the companions indeed. Zakat must be given at least once in a lunar year, 2.5% of your wealth for the benefits of poor."Surely they who believe and do good deeds and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate (Zakat) they shall have their reward from their Lord, and they shall have no fear, nor shall they grieve." [Al-Quran 2:277]
Allah (swt) said, Spend (on charity), O Son Of Adam, And I Shall Spend On You. [Bukhari & Muslim]
4. FASTING(SWAM)
Fasting is time to empty your stomach and feed your soul with true and sincere faith in Allah. There are both health and spiritual benefits in fasting its burning all your ego, pride and sins. Apart from pausing your appetite fasting brings your heart and soul closer to allah. Not only your stomach, but also your eyes, tongue, ears, hands and feet must fast with you in ramadan. Muslims fast during that month as a way to commemorate the revelation of the Quran and allah looks with special favour on his creation. Ramdan is an arabic word which means heat and thirst. Every night in ramdan allah choses people to be saved from hell fire.
Those who believed and whose heart is assured by the remembrance of allah. unquestionably, by the remembrance of allah hearts are assured.[Quran 13:28]
o you who believe, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous. [al Bukhari]
5.HAJJ(PILIGRIMAGE)
Allah made hajj as compulsory,
