Narrator.
They both felt the same feeling. (Also this is when that happened, and they actually left, to Cary on with the mission.) Inosuke was suspicious of the two since they weren't talking, and he really didn't like it being quiet.
So he brought it up.
"Uhm, are yer guys good?"
Zen: "wow you actually care!" His eyes had shines in them
"NO! it's just because it's quiet, and I wanna do something!"
Zen: "oh-" his eyes drooped
"Ugh"
Inosuke legit ran off ahead of them, as he wanted to get there first. Zenitsu just walked behined tanjiro.
Zenitsu pov.
Wow... Inosuke wasn't wrong it's so quiet I can even hear tanjiro breath! I wonder why none of us had said something at least, but what is there to talk about?
Demons?
Flowers?
Birds?
There's really nothing, and am not sure tanjiro is into that sort of conversation, and would find it boring.
So I stayed quiet, and waited to see if he said something.
Something came to mind
,as I remember the time where my heart skipped a beat at tanjiro. Idk why that happened, and I currently know I don't like him, but I can't lie and say that... I didn't like it. Since it was the first time I was still fanboying over it
But why did it have to be tanjiro! I mean I have nothing against it, it was actually nice... But why couldn't it be a pretty girl! With long black hair!
Tanjiro pov.
I look back to see a blushing tanjiro thinking hard about something. I was wondering what it was, and wanted to ask, but since it's been a while, of not talking just bringing it up is a bit weird.
I really wanna know tho... Maybe after this mission I'll ask him and see.
Narrator.
They caught up to inosuke, and find out inosuke actually already deafeted the demon, from just running around and slicing everything. Wow amazing: zenitsu thought. Tanjiro again laughed and inosuke stupidens, but at sad times he could really put a smile on someone's face. Which is fascinating.
(Time skip)
Tanjiro pov.
Today was a hard day, and Zen and I no almost got hurt. That demon was the worst one weve faught so far. Hmmm now am really hungry.
Oh right! Me Zen and Ino are actually walking in a market area, and were looking for something to eat. Inosuke was drooling, looking at all the food that we last by. We ended up on a great restruant, and we decided to eat here.
We sat on the bench outside, and before we even sat down inosuke, finished. So he asked if he could get another one,and I nodded giving him some money, sighing.
Now it was me, nezuko, and zenitsu.
As I looked over, he was really enjoying the food. He was smiling, and the scent he gave off was... Pleasant, and happy.
He finished, and looked at me confused? Oh it was because I was looking at him haha.. -
"Sorry about that-"
Zen: "oh. It's fine tanjiro!"
His smile. There it is, my heart again, but this time. It didn't stop thumping. It kept going, and going. I felt my breath shorten, and get heavy. I felt my face get red. My eyes widen.
Zenitsu looked at me worried and wondered. He got close to my face. OUT OF NOWHERE.
zenitsu pov.
I looked at tanjiro, and he really seemed to be in a bad state. His face was red, and he looked sick.
My hands were full, so I used my head instead to feel if he was hot. And he was!
"Tanjiro are you okay!"
Tan: "y-yeah!.."
"Are you sure? Your burning an awful lot.."
Tan: "yeah am fine- don't worry, just been a little tired."
"Then you should've said something, I am a bit tired as well, let's go rest alright?"
Tan: "alright."
