"Lee Yeon! What's all this?!", Nam Jia gasped at the various pregnancy supplements on the kitchen table.

"I didn't know which to buy so I bought all of them.", Yeon said with a yawn, hugging her from behind, "You have to be healthy so our little fox can be healthy too."

Jia turned around to meet his gaze, "little fox?"

Yeon put a hand over his mouth, his mind going blank, "Did I say that?"

"Yes you did"

"Well, I guess we'll have to give it some sort of name", the Gumiho explained nervously, hoping that she wouldn't be weirded out.

"I like it.", Jia smiled, "Little fox"

Yeon grinned, "Then little fox it is."

"But Yeon, I can't possibly eat all of this!"

The Gumiho hugged her even tighter, "I just want the best for the both of you."

"I'll be happy and well if you don't get on my nerves by doing stupid things.", Jia escaped from Yeon's hold and headed towards the front door with her bag.

Yeon grabbed her arm, stopping her, "Wait, where are you going?"

"Work?", Jia replied confusingly

"You're going to work?!", the Gumiho exclaimed in utter shock, "With that body?"

Jia sighed helplessly at her over protective husband, "Lee Yeon, I'm only three months pregnant. For your information, maternity leave in South Korea lasts only 90 days."

"What?! Which idiot made such a stupid law!"

Jia chuckled lightly at Yeon's cute outrage, "So unless you can rewrite the national law for me, I'll be going."

Yeon pulled her into an embrace, burying his face in the crook of her neck, "Don't go."

Jia brushed the back of his hair soothingly, her heart melting over his tantrum, "You can wait for me, right?"

"Always."

"Can you believe it? She's just going to work as if she's totally not pregnant with our child.", Yeon ranted in disbelief, waving the chopsticks around, "Don't you know that stress is a huge factor of miscarriage?"

"Calm down. If she managed to deal with your shit in the last three months while pregnant, stress at work is nothing.", Rang said blandly as he took another bite of his noodles. Having lunch with his brother became a frequent occurrence to pass time, and just to check in on each other in general.

"Yah, can't you at least try to empathize with my worry?"

"Nothing's gonna happen.", Rang stared, "My mother tried to do all sorts of things to get rid of me. Stress doesn't stand a chance at getting rid of that hybrid child your woman is carrying."

Yeon pursed his lips together, unsure of how to react to Rang's mention of his horrible mother, "Sorry."

"What for?"

"I forgot that you weren't good with the 'mother-child relationship' topic."

"Whatever."

Deciding to shift the attention away from himself, the older Gumiho asked, "Are you okay? How's the wound?"

"It's fine, almost healed", the younger replied simply, a week had passed since the hospital escape shenanigan and all things considered, he's feeling pretty good.
