We have to talk

It was lunch time and me and most of the Weasleys plus Hermione and Harry were all sitting together. We were talking about anything and everything. We talked about people we didn't like. The hard tests and some stupid jokes. Eventually we got to me and Oliver. We're having a ruff patch right now. We haven't been hanging out together and we're both avoiding each other, at this point it's not like we're even dating.

I knew this topic would come up. But I was wishing it wouldn't. Thankfully Hermione understood my feelings and changed the subject. The new topic of discussion was 'is Dumbledore's beard real?' . It got everyone talking and made them forget about me and my boyfriend.

We continued to chat during lunch. Then, Oliver came over to sit next to me, for the first time in a couple of weeks. He's my boyfriend, he should be sitting next to me, I am is his girlfriend after all. When he sat down everyone was quiet. They all knew he wasn't being the best boyfriend he could be.

" Hey babe" Oliver said not noticing the silence over the loud crowd of kids in the lunch room. " Hey, where have you been? I haven't seen you all day." I asked him immediately. He was hesitant to answer. I could see that he was regretful. I could tell by his sorrowful eyes. They seemed more dull than usual.

Before he answered I pulled him aside. I felt bad making him answer all those questions in-front of all his friends. This was a private conversation. He seemed grief-stricken which made me worry for him. " Hey, are you alright "
I asked him in soothing, gentle voice. He looked me straight in the eyes, with tears building up. The whole time he stared deep into my eyes I felt as if I did something wrong. Did I not give him enough attention. Is it because I missed one of his quidditch games. But I already apologized for that. What did I do?
