Today was Y/N's birthday as him, Acerola and Nanu were at his parents graves. Although any ordinary kids would have a party of go shopping, Acerola and Y/N along with their uncle Nanu would always go the graves of the children's parents. They would talk about the things that happened during the years. Also at the sides of the humans were their pokemon: with Y/N was a mimikyu ( nicknamed Spectre) given to him by his parents, with Acerola was another mimikyu that was floating(she is a ghost just like the anime) and by Nanu was an alolan persain. All six of them were paying respect as they laid flowers and after another minute of silence they left to go celebrate the rest of Y/N's birthday.
Nanu:So Y/N what do you want to do today kiddo?
Y/N:Well how about we go to the battle royal dome and watch the masked royal battle.
Acerola:Great idea Y/N but before we do we need to go to the aether house to check on the kids(like in the games)
Y/N/Nanu:OK let's go
The three trainers start to head towards the fairly large white building. While Nanu returned his persain the two kids have both their mimikyus wander out with them. When they arrived to the building there was a man in a lab coat without a shirt and wearing glasses was standing there waiting for them.
Kukui:Ah, there you are Y/N. I have a letter for you from the galar region.
Y/N:Wait what why would they give me letter?
Kukui:I am not sure but here you go
Y/N is then given the letter and after about 5 minutes of reading had a surprised look on his face.
Acerola/Nanu: What is it Y/N
Y/N: They want me to become a gym leader in replacement of allister, the gym leader who just quit
