Shadow punch(Bea x male reader)

Meeting the rest with a gigantic surprise

Y/N and Bea have been getting along great ever since the incident at the battle cafe. Bea opened up to Y/N as Y/N told her about his parents deaths. She told him that she was there if he ever wanted to talk about it. Y/N knew that he had feelings for him and the same was for Bea but they both didn't know how to tell the other. They also had fun battles,without dynamax, so that they could learn each others battle styles so that if they were in double battles they could help each other out. They were now on  their way to the motostoke gym for the gym challenge ceremony with both of their ace pokemon walking besides them.

Y/N:So what do we do at this gym ceremony Bea?

Bea:Well we introduce ourselves to the trainers who are taking part in the gym challenge. And then the champion chooses 1 gym leader to have a 1 on 1 battle with.

Y/N and Spectre now had stars in their eyes at the thought of having a battle with the undefeated champion of galar as they rushed to the stadium as Bea and her Machamp just sweatdropped as they ran after the two Alolan residents.

After 5 minutes of run they were finally at the stadium ready for the gym challenge ceremony. They went to their respective changing rooms as all the gym leaders minus allister, who moved to alola to become a trial captain while acerola became the elite 4 member, came out in their gym uniforms. Y/N was now wearing the ghost uniform in addition to his signature scarf.

The introductions were the same except for two things, piers and Y/N.
Rose:The rockstar who the power of darkness, Piers
And now the new gym leader taking Allister's spot.
The friend to all ghost type pokemon,Y/N
Rose then says all the things about the gym challenge and hands the mic over to Leon

Leon:Now people of galar, to end this ceremony I will battle one of these gym leaders. And I have selected Y/N!

The crowd got into uproar to see the new gym leader battle. The other gym leaders wished him luck as he walked to his side of the field. They were also excited to see how this new gym leader battles

Ref:This will be a 1 on 1 battle with both trainers able to dynamx.
As he said this Y/N put his dynamax band on as Leon got a pokeball and sent out a dragapult.

Y/N:Go Spectre!
Y/N sends out his partner pokemon as the battle begins(moveset:Swords dance, play rough, shadow claw and psychic)

Leon:Dragon dance and Shadow Ball
Y/N:Use two Swords dances
The pseudo-legendary glowed dark blue before sending a  dark purple ball towards Spectre as four holographic Swords spun around him(two sword=1 Swords dance)The shadow ball made contact with Spectre. When the smoke around Spectre dispersed he seemed unharmed but his head flopped down.

Leon:What happened?
Leon was so confused as he didn't get to  battle Allister's mimikyu in the 1 on 1 battles
Y/N:Mimikyu's ability is disguise. The first attack does no damage towards him and his head will just flop down. Now Spectre use play rough followed by shadow claw
Spectre charged towards dragapult with incredible speed as it began a barrage of punches in a pink dust cloud and then executed another attack with its claws which sent it across the field. The crowd were astonished by the fact that one of Leon's pokemon took so much damage.

Leon:Well it looks like it's time for a champion time. Dragapult return.
Dragapult returned to his pokeball as the pokeball got bigger and Dragapult came out but in a significantly larger form.Y/N this is dynamax.

Y/N had stars in his eyes as he and Spectre looked at each other and nodded nodded.

Y/N:Spectre return. Although Spectre hated to go into his pokeball, after talking to Bea about how a pokemon dynamaxes he was willing to go into his pokeball. The pokeball then got bigger and Y/N threw it and Spectre came out. However, instead of just being big Spectre's normally wooden tail became a shadow as his body started to look alot like the gigantamax pikachu picture Bea showed him when showing all the pokemon with gigantamax forms.

Y/N:Leon why does Spectre look like that wasn't just meant to get bigger.
Leon:It seems like your mimikyu has the ability to gigantamax. This battle will be interesting.
The crowd got into a louder uproar than before.
Leon:Use max phantasm
Y/N:Use max phantasm as well
Both pokemon used their max moves but when Spectre used his instead of random objects hitting the opposite pokemon, multiple paper talisman appeared and hit dragapult. After it got hit by the move it seemed to have the same black aura around it as if it had Curse afflicted onto it.
Leon:Seems like that was its g-max move. Why don't you name it Y/N
Y/N took time to think of a name but then thought of it

Y/N:It's called G-Max Envy!
The crowd cheered in response of the new gigantamax form and move.

The battle went one until both both referred back to their normal forms. The next attack would finish it.
Leon/Y/N: Use shadow ball/shadow claw
Spectre used his speed to get close to dragapult as the ghost dragon charged up a shadow ball and the mimikyu prepared to use a shadow claw. With both attacks colliding at close ranging both pokemon fainted. Leaving the match to a tie.
