Gene moved to strike your neighbor, moving too quickly for her to see, knocking her on her back. His face inches away from hers, as she didn't open her eyes and started sobbing.

"Dont' hurt me, we came here because they asked. That's all. No one else needs to get hurt. Please," she begged, as Gene stood up with you still over his shoulder. His eyes went to the little face that was hiding behind the couch, holding eye contact with him as his pupils constricted and then went back to normal.

"Don't become like me boy, you'll hate yourself if you do," he said before going away in a flash, leaving your neighbor sobbing on the floor and the boy hiding behind the couch.

Paul was drinking from a lone person's neck, ignoring the thrashing that made him think of how this was probably what a bear felt like trying to rip open a salmon. THat was until the thrashing stopped, and the person's body slumped in his arms. He dropped it to the ground, wiping his mouth on his hand. Crouching down where the body lay on the ground, and grabbing a container from his side that was in a bag that was slung over his shoulder. He opened the plastic container, making sure the edge was up against the gash he had opened onto the side of the person's neck. Angling the neck just so, in a way that the remaining blood would go into the container.

He looked up from where he was and saw that Eric and Tommy were doing the same thing.

"That was quick thinking, about collecting blood for later. And for y/n as well," Tommy mentioned, as he pressed the container closer to the open wound, watching as the rest of the blood from the person went into his container.

"Well, we have more experience holding back, she doesn't right now. Better we hunt and also collect while we can. Even if it is on the outskirts. You never know this might be our routine from now on with how, well, Gene," Eric said, pushing the dead corpse he was harvesting from on the ground, and standing up to his full height. Closing his container and putting it in his bag.

Eric looked over at Paul, who was now looking out into space. His brown eyes were unfocused as if it was spacing out.

"You ok dude? The person is dry." Eric said as he pushed the person Paul had been harvesting from onto the ground. Leaving Paul on his knees still, unblinking. As Eric snapped his fingers in front of Paul's face, as he blinked, looking out of it.

"We need to go back, something's happened," he said as he looked around panicked, putting the container in his bag. Being in the dusty outskirts of civilization, or what remained of it. Paul was standing there one second and was gone the next, the only thing left in his wake was the dead corpse and a puff of dirt.

"Crap, you know he only gets like that when it's something serious," Tommy said as he and Eric shared a worried look before pushing off from the dirt, running back to the house.

Paul opened the door to the house, taking the bag from his shoulder. The container full of blood was quickly put into the fridge.

"y/n! y/n!" he shouted as he walked further into the house, looking over at the couch and seeing your neighbor and her son huddled on the couch. And flinching when Paul came into the room.

"Where is she?"

"He came, he took her," she said quickly, as Paul gritted his teeth, smacking his hand against the countertop in the kitchen. An impression left from his hand on the countertop from the force.

"I knew he would pull something like this. Just waiting for us to leave," he said more to himself.

"She tried to fight him off but he stuck a needle into your neck. It had something in it, I don't know what," the neighbor explained, as footsteps were heard coming into the house.

Eric and Tommy came in and looked from the neighbor's distraught face and then to Paul, who was leaning against the kitchen counter.

"He took her while we were gone,"

"Ok, well we know where he lives, I lived in that hellwhole for a bit. We go back there and kick his ass," Eric explained simply.

"But we have to take you two back first,'' Tommy said as he turned to look at them, handing Eric his container of blood that he collected to put in the fridge.

"No, you don't need to. We'll be fine here," she said as Tommy shook his head.

"No, no, I don't wanna risk your safety as well. Guys, I'm going to go take them back myself you go get y/n," Tommy said as he grabbed the keys for the truck, giving both Eric and Paul an expression that left little room to argue with the other alpha.

"Alright, fine, you take them back we'll go to Gene's house and search the place," Paul said with a nodd, as the woman and her son got up and walked out the door with Tommy following behind them closely.

Eric turned towards Paul, looking at the other alpha, searching his face.

"Well there's a good thing, there doesn't seem to be any blood. But I don't know what to do, we've never taken anyone out like us. Is that even possible?" Eric questioned.

"I don't know. But I know if he touches her in any way at all I might just literally bite his head off of his body," Paul said, grabbing a kitchen knife from the block and was gone in a second as Eric rolled his eyes.

"I get it, but damn give me a sign you're going to do that please!" Eric shouted as he followed behind Paul, dashing out of the house.
