Part 19 (final part)

You looked from Paul to Eric and then to Tommy. They all shared the same stunned look at the news of you being human again.

"What are we going to do? If I'm human that means..." you trailed off as you put your hand on your expanding stomach.

"Not necessarily. Half my DNA and half yours. Which would make it half human and half not," Paul said with a slight smile that didn't reach his eyes though. So you knew that he was worried along with the others as well.

Because it seemed like a relief with you being like them, even if it meant another person to share rations with. But you being like them, you felt like you belonged for once.

Now with being human again with a half immortal child and half human you didn't know what they were thinking or what they would do.

"Come on, let's get you back to the house to get washed, cleaned and rested. I think we all need to rest after the past couple of days," Paul said as he wrapped his arm around your shoulders as you walked out of the cave with him, Tommy and Eric.

Going back to the house, you got out of your wet clothes and into the shower feeling the warm water wash over you. Rubbing your hands against your arms, you felt the warm water almost burn your feet, indicating that you were colder than you had thought before, slipping yourself under the spray more as you rain the shampoo through your hair and seeing the dirt washing off of you.

Running the conditioner through your ends, you washed it from your hair. Turning off the water you grabbed for a towel, wrapping it around you as you stepped into the bedroom that you had shared with Paul and going to the dresser and trying to find anything that would fit you.

"We could always scrounge around at some other places. See if there are any maternity clothes?" you heard behind you. Seeing Paul leaning against the doorframe of the closet.

"Yeah I guess we didn't think that through huh? I mean I didn't think I would get this big this quickly," you said as he stepped up next to you and started going through your clothes, helping you find something to wear.

And you found yourself trying to not be awkward. Then you opened your mouth.

"I don't know about you but I feel...weird," you said as Paul looked up at you with a smile.

"Well yeah you are pregnant that's bound to feel a bit odd, sharing your body with someone else," he said as he opened another drawer and found one of your tshirts that you would have slept in before but now seemed like it would still work for your growing form.

"No, I mean, well. Me being human again. I feel weird, around you guys," you said as Paul stopped and looked at you with furrowed brows.

"Why? You're our mate. You shouldn't feel awkward around us. Even if you are human again," he said as he put his hand on your back and looked down at you with concern.

"Really? It's not weird for you to be mated to your food source once again? Don't lie to me and tell me that its not hard for you. Considering the fact that when you found me you were so hungry—"

"Stop, stop right there. I didn't know it was you. And you offered. I stopped because I have control. We all do. It's just going to have to be an adjustment is all. Don't think that this makes us feel any different from how we felt about you before," he said as he held eye contact with you.

You sighed despite his words that you knew were his true feelings about the situation. You didn't feel any less attracted to him or Tommy or Eric since spending an hour with them back as a human.

"Real adjustment just might be getting food back into the house but that can be rectified easily. Since you were so smart in making a garden out back," he said with a smile, that this time reached his eyes.
