So I was sitting around thinking about what I wanted to write next, and I realized I hadn't done anything for sweet sweet Neville. I don't usually write super cute and fluffy things like this so it was pretty new to me. But I hope you guys enjoy!!

The challenge to find (y/n) a pet name started at the beginning of the school year. (y/n) was a fairly well known Gryffindor so it was inevitable that her and Neville's relationship was an extremely popular subject. She was an outgoing and bubbly girl who had tons of friends from every house and wasn't afraid to speak her mind.

Everyone knew that her and Neville had become pretty close over their couple of years at Hogwarts, but nobody expected them to actually start dating.

What was even more surprising was the fact that Neville gathered up enough courage to ask her out. Even though their relationship was not the newest in the school, it was the one that Ron Weasley liked to focus on.

"So you don't have a nickname for your girlfriend?" He asked Neville raising a single judgmental eyebrow. They had gotten the first week of classes under their belts and finally got the hang of their schedule.

Anytime anyone mentioned the word girlfriend around Neville he couldn't help but blush. He considered himself extremely lucky to be able to call (y/n) his girlfriend when he knew just how many people at their school wanted her.

"It's not something we've thought about Ron." She interjected wanting to shut down this conversation. She was getting tired of always being the topic of conversation. Why was their relationship in the spotlight?

"I understand that, but how do you not have pet names for each other?" He continued causing (y/n) to let out a sigh of annoyance. Hermione and Harry were  looking at Ron with this perplexed look on their faces.

The two of them were pretty confused on why Ron cared about their relationship so much. Neville shrugged before tossing an arm around (y/n)'s shoulder. She instantly relaxed leaning into his touch. For a moment the two of them forgot about Ron's questions. Smiling down at his girl, Neville leaned down and placed a soft kiss on her forehead.

"See!" Ron yelled causing half of the Great Hall to turn and look at him. "I don't understand how the two of you can act like that and not have pet names for each other."

"Fine." Neville threw his hands up in surrender, "If I find a pet name for (y/n) that the both of us like, will you leave us alone?"

"Yes." Ron eagerly nodded. Harry and Hermione looked at each other rolling their eyes before gathering their things and heading to their first class of the day: Potions.

Neville and (y/n) walked to Potions hand in hand. As they were walking to class, Neville couldn't help but notice all the stares. He knew that being with (y/n) would cause a lot of them, but he didn't care. Even he had a hard time wrapping his head around the fact that she actually agreed to go out with him.

"I don't understand why Ron won't just accept the fact that we're not a couple that has pet names for each other." (y/n) grumbled as they sat down in their seats.

"I don't know either." Neville shrugged immediately reaching for her hand lacing his fingers with hers. This was something that always comforted Neville. He was not someone that had been a fan of physical touch, but (y/n) was the one that changed it for him.

"Is there anything that you would like?"

"What about honey?" (y/n) suggested, "I don't think I'd mind that."

"No." Neville immediately shook his head. "It's too boring. You deserve something way better than honey."

"You are too sweet Neville." (y/n) cooed picking up his hand and placing a kiss on the back of his hand.
