In a few seconds, the sour stench of human air filled his lungs.

Keefe wrinkled his nose. He couldn't believe humans would just pollute their air like that. He looked at the litter piled on the ground and the flies that flew around uninvited disdainfully. Really, did they not smell it? Or maybe they were used to it. Just wait until they got to the elvin world, with so many trees and glittering towers and fortresses and houses and all the intelligent species. It was sad that humans let their selfishness cloud their judgement and just let the world continue to waste away until they too, died with it.

A pit grew in his stomach. Not like he had the best judgement either, considering the fact that he left his friends to join the Neverseen, their enemy, and had stolen a cache, which had turned out to be fake, so it wasn't win at all, he had betrayed Foster before, and more importantly, he was going to do it again, so who was to judge?

He stared at the buildings, trying to recall where he had seen them before. He wasn't exactly sure where the leaping crystal lead to, so if it went to some dark dungeon or something (if they had that in the human world), he would be doomed. Why didn't he think of that before he so impulsively made up his stubborn mind and went off and ran away like a coward again just so he could take a 'break' from reality?

Great. He'd just escaped, and he had already added another thing to his lengthy list of Mistakes.

Thankfully, miraculously (hehe), it didn't lead him to a dark dungeon or prison or whatsoever. He had been deposited to a familiar place. He was shocked that he knew this place.

He hadn't visited the human world that many times, and he hadn't lived there, so he could be lost. Some kind of luck made sure he didn't land in an unfamiliar country, but a place with tiny gnomes.

Forklenator's old home. In the human world.

No wonder he remembered this place. He and Sophie had been there some time ago, when they were going to visit S̶i̶l̶v̶e̶n̶y̶  Glitter Butt at the Sanctuary, and there had been that tiny problem where she couldn't teleport through solid objects, so she accidentally took a ... slight detour to her human home.

The gears in his mind were spinning. Forkle was Foster's neighbour in the past, so... her home was right here.

He turned and indeed, the tiny but slightly faded markings were still etched on the wall:

𝑾. 𝑫. 𝑭.

𝑬. 𝑰. 𝑭.

𝑺. 𝑬. 𝑭.

𝑨. 𝑹. 𝑭.

Foster's old home. He'd found it.

The problem was, they'd found him too.

Hey guys, short chapter! Sorry not sorry for the cliffhanger ;P Enjoy!
