To Worry

Harley sat in her cell, the clock on the wall ticking past one. She should have been in her meeting with Red by now.

She sat perched on her makeshift hammock and chewed her nails.
Where was she? The doc was never late.

It wasn't Sunday,  Harley had already checked.

Maybe she was running late, she tried to calm her rising anxiety. It's not like she wasn't human.

People can be late to things. Its fine. It's fine.

Abruptly she folded her hands in her lap and tried to distract herself. She didn't want to be reading when the guards came to get her because the would make her loose her place. Or they'd damage the book. Assholes.

Harley grimaced as she looked at the clock again. Ten minutes after one.

She stood up and found herself pacing. Why wasn't she being taken to her appointment?
Red said she was making progress yesterday.  Harley didn't think she'd want to see her less because of it.

Oh god, what if getting better meant she wasn't going to see the good doctor anymore? Surely not.

"No that's just ridiculous. It was just one session."

Was it though?

Harley huffed and began to bang on her door to get someone's attention.
"Hey! Hey you!" The guard turned to her skeptically.  "Yes you, baldy come here." She stuck her hand through the bars on her door waving him over.

"Where the hell is Doctor Isley? Why haven't I been taken to her yet?"

The guard rolled his eyes and Harley wanted to smash his face into the door.
Bad thoughts Harley, play nice.

"Consider yourself lucky. Shes not here today."

"What the hell do you mean she's not here?!"

The man laughed. "What part of that did you not understand crazy bitch?" He stepped closer to the door sticking his face closer to hers through the bars.

Harley's morphed from outrage to her deadly grin.
"I don't know. You should come here and explain that to me."

Wrapping her hands around the bars she tilted her head sideways and giggled.

The dumbass actually got closer. In a flash of movement she grabbed the back of his skull and bashed his face into the metal bars.
A long string of profanity fell from his blubbering mouth as blood gushed from his nose.

Stepping back she laughed. "You wanna come and call me a crazy bitch in here? Huh?"

He shook it off and sulked away cradling his broken nose.

"Where ya going?! We were having so much fun!" She called after him.

She flopped onto the floor. "Fucking prick."

She wanted Red. She was very much not okay with this.
