Soulmate

Chapter 3

"Can you walk?" Freed asked.
Felicity nodded and stood up but soon she lost her balance and was about to fall when Freed caught her.
He smiled and picked her up in bridal style. Felicity blushed and gripped at Freed's shirt.
"Where is your caretaker?" He looked at her. She was in hospital's dress so she must have come from the hospital.
Felicity looked at him confused.

"Don't tell me that you came alone." Freed looked at her in shock.
"I ran." Felicity whispered as she snuggled closer to Freed. She felt warm and safe with him.
Freed sighed. "I guess I am taking you back."
Felicity hummed.

'So, she is my soulmate. She seems sick that explains all the pain she was going through.' He looked at the girl in his arms. 'But I am happy that I found her. She was crying earlier....'

Freed buried his face in his hands.
'She has Alzheimer disease. I advice you not to get any closer to her, in the end you are the one who's gonna get hurt.'
Those words kept on repeating itself in his mind.

Freed had reached the hospital and as soon as he entered, he was greeted by a scared brunette.
"Felicity-sama! Why did you run off without telling me!?" Alice yelled
Felicity chuckled.
"Alice. I found him. I found my soulmate."
Freed blushed upon hearing that.
Alice's expression turned from worried to a frown.
"What are you talking about Felicity-sama?" She was confused, she couldn't understand what her master was talking about.
Soulmate? Was that why she always sent her out at night with that invisible thing..
"He is my soulmate." Felicity muttered and closed her eyes. She fell asleep.

"You must be Felicity's caretaker. I am Freed Justine." Freed introduced himself. "Where is her room?"
Alice clenched her fist. She didn't know why but she felt angry.
Was it because Felicity forgot everything except him...it must be that but that wasn't Freed's fault so Alice didn't say anything.
"Follow me please."
Freed nodded and followed her.
Alice stopped before the door and turned towards Freed.
"She has Alzheimer disease. I advice you not to get any closer to her, in the end you are the one who's gonna get hurt."
She took Felicity from Freed's arms.
"So leave."
Then she closed the door, Freed just stood there not able to say anything.

"Freed."
"Freed."
"Oi Freed!" Freed came out of his trance.
"Yes?" He turned towards his friends.
"You've been acting a bit weird for past few days. Did something happen?" Evergreen asked, concerned about her friend. For the past few days Freed had been acting weird, not eating anything, not sleeping, he didn't do anything except for stare at a book.
"You can tell us of something's wrong." Bickslow patted Freed's back.
"Tell us! Tell us! Tell us!" His dolls repeated.
Freed sighed and stood up.
"Everything is fine. I am just tired that's all." He left the guild.
"Something is definitely wrong I can smell it." Natsu stated. "When Freed returned to the guild that day I found a strong smell that lingered around him. I don't know why but something tells me it's related."
Everyone looked at Natsu.
"Can you find the person?" Lucy asked.
"Ha. Sure!" Natsu grinned.
"Anything is possible for Natsu." Happy cheered.

Meanwhile-
Freed lied on his bed.
The words were still repeating in his head.
'She has Alzheimer disease. I advice you not to get any closer to her, in the end you are the one who's gonna get hurt.'
He thought that it was better not to get closer to her because later it will not be only him who'll get hurt, it will be Felicity too. And he didn't wanna hurt her. But still....
"But still...I want to see her....I want to know her.." Freed whispered and he didn't even realise when tears started flowing down his cheeks. "I guess she wants to see me too."
He lifted his left hand and saw the thread tied to his pinkie, it was as strong as before, this made him smile.
He quickly got off his bed and took a bath. After all that he got out of his house and started walking towards the hospital where Felicity was admitted.
"I want to love you."
