THE OTHER BLACK

➖ ANDROMEDA BLACK,
SEVENTH YEAR ➖
. . . ."𝘼ndy! Wait!" Andromeda stopped, not looking back. She just had a fight with her twin sister, as the school was informed a few hours prior that Ted Tonks was brutally murdered and that Professor Flitwick was put into a deep sleep, one no one can seem to wake him up from, even Dumbledore himself. Automatically, that rung alarm bells in Andromeda's head. Who would do such a thing? Cordelia. She knew it had to be her, she had been boasting that she'll kill him if he wasn't careful enough.
"Why should I?!" Andromeda turned around and the first thing her twin noticed was the tears running doen her cheeks. "You told me that you will do it! You tried to do it before, and now that you've actually succeeded, you tell me it wasn't you?!"
"But it wasn't Andy!" Cordelia cried out, nearly smacking Snape in the face. Andromeda didn't know why Snape followed her twin around, he was only going to get hurt or he'll end up like Ted. "Look, if I truly had done it, don't you think I would've told you? Don't you think that you'd be the first to know?"
Andromeda shook her head. It has to be a lie. She knows Cordelia killed Ted. One doesn't simply dish out death threats like that and not kill the person. "You're a liar. And a killer. You should be in Azkaban." She spat out, even surprising herself with the venom laced in the words.
Cordelia's eyes flashed red. Andromeda could never miss that, even if she wanted to. "For Merlin's sake Andromeda! I didn't murder the prick! We found him like that!" Andromeda took a step back, appalled at how demonic Cordelia sounded. That can't be her sister. Maybe someone was controlling her, maybe Snape had some type of hold on her, which would explain why he was always with her but it didn't make any sense to Andromeda. If it truly was Snape, shouldn't the hold have broken by now? He's only eleven after all!
"Cordelia, keep calm." Andromeda watched with terror in her eyes as Snape gently put a hand on Cordelia's outstretched arm and she gasped when Cordelia growled animalisticly at the boy, who flinched but didn't back down. "Please calm down."
The red slowly faded from Cordelia's eyes and Andromeda furrowed her brows in confusion. What was that about?
"Andy? Why are you crying? Oh Merlin, my head's splitting." Cordelia groaned, touching her forehead and Andromeda had never felt so confused in her entire life before. "Walk me to the Hospital Wing, will you Snape?"
Snape nodded, holding her hand and began leading her away from Andromeda, who craned her neck at them, feeling perplexed. What just happened? Why did Cordelia look so confused about her crying? Why was her head hurting all of a sudden? Unless it was only a way of distracting her from the truth! Andromeda just knows that Cordelia killed Ted, no one else wanted the boy dead, just Cordelia.
"You can't fool me so easily!" Andromeda barked, rushing after them and she quickly caught up to them, blocking their path.
"Andromeda, please get out the way." Snape whispered, a slight tremble in his voice and Andromeda only scoffed. This must be part of the theatricals, Snape must have had a hand in the murder.
