CHAPTER 10 : ONCE UPON A TIME

NO ONE P.O.V

Jungkook sit with his son that are laying on the hospital bed, as if he was dead. He was alive but also dead at the same time.

Jungkook : fate had been cruel and order unkind.

Jungkook sigh.

Jungkook : how could this happen to you? I'm sorry, that I failed to save you and protect you.

He whisper. Soon he smile and caress the little child's hair.

Jungkook : do you want to hear a story? It had been since the last time I tell you a story. Didn't I?

Something around him change and the place suddenly become gloomy. Jungkook rest his chin on his palm.

Jungkook : once upon a time, there... Is an immortal emperor. People bow down to him as he hold so much power. Being an immortal the emperor watch people die, he become lonely.

Jungkook : Then, one day a princess came to his life. He fell in love with her. Madly in love that he left the kingdom for her.

Jungkook pause and look down.

Jungkook : but one day... The princess Stab him in the back. She take over the kingdom and went with another man, leaving the emperor broken and devastated.

Jungkook : The emperor become weak and pathetic, he went to his lowest.

Jungkook move his head towards his son.

Jungkook : someone safe him though. Another woman, a dark creature.. they say. Yet she is very kind, she is with the emperor no matter what happen.

Jungkook : She help him back on his feet. He gain his power once again and attack his the evil princess. He took his throne and kill the princess.

Jungkook : The emperor are in love with the woman that save him and make her, his empress. They soon live happily ever after.

As he finish the story, his bandage that are covering his eyes fall off. He saw blackie standing right Infront of him. Staring right into his eyes. Blackie grin and say.

Blackie : yes, they live happily ever after...

Irene eyes finally flutter open. She first saw the ceiling as she slowly look to her left wondering where is she. She notice where she is and a sudden realisation hit her.

She widen her eyes and sit up. Wincing as she do so. She look around and find the room empty. She slowly move and put her feet on the cold floor.

She want to stand up but end up stumbling and almost fall to the ground when someone suddenly hold her. Avoiding her from falling.

She look at the person and saw a vampire hold her, she soon heard another male voice. The male put her back to the bed.

Bambam : miss Irene! You're awake!

Irene recognise the two, she had meet them before, it's Bang Chan and Bambam. She slowly nod and attempt to stand up once again, end up falling to the bed once again. Bambam rush towards her.

Bambam : please, avoid using your energy for now. You need to rest.

Irene : I... I need to see her majesty, now! It's important!

She demand somehow sounding desperate at the same time. Bambam look at Bang Chan who also look at him before nodding and motion him to call for the Queen.

Bang Chan soon left and Bambam start checking on Irene. Irene is restless, she need to do something but bambam is not letting her out of his sight. She bite her bottom lips.

Irene : I need cloth, It's uncomfortable.

Bambam before nodding.

Bambam : I'll come back in a second.

He left and she quickly stand up and support herself using the wall. In a swift moment she is no longer in the room.

Lisa is on her way back to the palace. Bang Chan had come to her and told her that Irene is awake and wish to meet her for an important matter.

As she was on her way a message suddenly appear at her phone screen. She look at the message and widen her eyes as she read it.

The usurper is making their move, a group of soldier is moving towards the border between demon empire. I think they are preparing on attacking, I need you to come here and help me.

Demon lord, your friend.
Yoongi.

Lisa : turn the car, go to the demon empire, now.

Bang Chan look at her and was about to ask why is she changing the direction but as he saw the serious look on her face, he keep silent.

Irene sneak at the hallway trying not to be caught. If she is being honest. She is lost. The palace is too big and she is rushing. She look around not knowing where is she.

She curse at herself for not being patient. Yet she can't help it. Her people is in danger and she need to do something.

Her thought was cut off when she heard a door open and close. Her eyes snap toward the direction instantly. She widen her eyes when she saw jungkook leaving one of the room.

You must meet the tribrid without anybody knowing, he is the key of everything. Make Physical contact and you'll slowly understand.

She remember what her greatmother say. She didn't think much and approach the tribrid.

Irene : greetings, lord tribrid.

Jungkook froze and glance over his shoulder. He remember the voice.

Jungkook : Miss Irene?

Irene : what an honour that the tribrid remember a mere witch like me.

Jungkook let out a soft chuckle as he turn towards her.

Jungkook : of course I remember. You're unique on your own way.

There is a silent for a moment as Irene stare at jungkook's hand. Thinking on how can she hold his hand.

Jungkook : why didn't I know that you're awake?

He suddenly ask making her gulp.

Irene : uh.. well, you know I just woke so maybe that's why you haven't heard about it yet.

Jungkook just nod as she heard her answer. Knowing that she is nervous, he offer a handshake. Making Irene widen her eyes and look at him.

Jungkook : it's a pleasure meeting you again but I guess since you just wake up, I think you should go and rest.

He said still offering the handshake. Irene slowly accept it. As soon as her skin come in contact with him she almost flinch.

She suddenly felt suffocated. There is something, she don't know what is it but it was squeezing the life out of her. She felt like her legs tremble.

Jungkook just smile and soon pull away his hand. In a swift movement he disappear into the thin air. As soon as he disappear she suddenly fall to her butt.

She gasp for air as she hold her chest. She suddenly felt something wet on her cheek. She rub it and frown. She is crying. Irene look at where jungkook disappear.

What just happen?
