As the curtain was pulled back, a groan was heard and lion ears popped out from the blanket. "Botan-chan, please get up now. You'll be late for school." A female voice rang out as she walked over to the waking figure of Botan. "5 minutes.." The maid could only let out a soft sigh before pulling the blanket. "Master (Y/N) ordered me to, he sa-" She was surprised when Botan immediately ran out of the room. "How the..?" She muttered out, confused but cleaned up Botan's messy bed.
As Botan rushes downstairs, she almost tripped but managed to grab on to the railing, preventing her from falling down the stairs. "Ah Botan-chan, there's no need for rushing. " An old butler came and helped Botan up. "Thank you.." She said, embarrassed that someone saw her fall. "Master (Y/N) won't leave without you, you two have been going to school for almost a month now." Botan nodded and slowly stood up with the help of the butler.
As the two reached the kitchen, Botan immediately saw (Y/N) sat down and she immediately rushed and sat on his lap. This startled the boy and caused him to let the glass go. Luckily enough, the butler caught it. "Be careful!" (Y/N) scolded Botan, the lioness whimpered slightly which made (Y/N) sigh and scratch her head. "I'm not.. I'm not angry, okay? Just be careful next time." Botan perked and immediately nodded, grabbing some food, she started shoving it into her mouth. The butler only chuckled and (Y/N) sighed, still getting used to how this girl eats her food.
(Y/N) just reached around and grabbed his fork and ate whatever is left on his plate. "Master (Y/N), it won't be long until you two graduate. May I ask, where are you gonna be studying for 4th grade?" The butler asked and (Y/N) gave it some thought, the boy went quiet for a while before shrugging. "I don't really know, I suppose anywhere, as long as Botan's with me." The butler nodded and grabbed his plate and headed to the sink. "Your sister will probably be back before you graduate middle school." The butler said with a slight excitement in his voice, (Y/N) only scoffed and leaned back on his chair. "Still angry about her leaving without telling you?" The boy stayed quiet and finished his food, he finished along Botan and the two stood up. "We're leaving." (Y/N) said and Botan said nothing and only followed him out.
Botan slowly slid her hand down to his hands and held it, (Y/N) nodded in appreciation and the two continued walking down to their school. The boys and girls that would've bullied Botan, would just back away in fear of (Y/N), he's gain a bit of reputation in their school. The teachers even fear him due to how much power his father had over there school and with just on word from (Y/N), their school can shutdown immediately.
As they reached their room, the two immediately sat at the very back. The day went on and nothing of note happened, except for the occasional murmurs about Botan and glaring at her but was immediately shut down when they saw (Y/N) staring back at them with a fierce gaze that could burn their soul.
As the two walked home, (Y/N) immediately spotted men following them. He scoffed and rolled his eyes and continued walking. Botan, who seems to be eyeing a dog is too distracted to noticed them.
As they near their home, Botan was immediately scooped up and the boy could only chuckle. Botan screamed for help. "Put her down uncle!" The boy chuckled once more as he approached his uncle. "(Y/N) my boy! It is great to see you, now who is this young lion?" His uncle set Botan down, beside (Y/N). "Uncle, this is Botan. I would say she's a friend of mine. Maybe something more." He nudged his uncle and his uncle gave a hearty laugh while Botan blushed at the back.
"Ah, Botan. This here is my uncle. Kiryu Kazuma." Botan bowed her head to the man. "You remind me of my daughter." Kiryu walked past (Y/N). "Adopted daughter, mind that." He chuckled and (Y/N) shuddered. "I will never forget the time she almost burnt me just to start a fire." Kiryu placed his hand atop of (Y/N)'s head. "It is why you never pressure a dragon! A real dragon at that!"
After their meeting with Kiryu, the two finally headed home. What (Y/N) said has been engraved in her mind. Now whenever she looks at him, her heart beats fast and her chest tightens.
As she sat alone in her room, her started to blur and she felt like she lost control of her body. "I mean no harm but only wish to help you. For I know what you have lost." Botan stiffened as she felt someone's touch behind her back and breathing on her ear. "Do not shy your feelings away. Women will take him away, show him how much you mean to him! Show him how much you want him, need him!" The voice spoke out to her, her voice getting louder she continued speaking.
She flinched as a watch came into her view. "If you require my help, speak into this." She chuckled before setting the watch down on Botan's lap. "And a great detective shall help you."
