Darkness. Darkness was the only thing that accompanied her, she doesn't know how long it has been she's been accompanied by it but the only thing she knows and believe at this point is that she's never escaping. Her chances of escaping are slim, she's tried countless times bur it always ends up with her being surrounded and trapped in a deadend, she thought that shs was just a toy that they enjoy watching suffer.

She was startled and was awoken by screaming and gunshots firing out throughout the halls, she squirmed around trying to cover her ears. But it soon ended. "Search down there son." She heard a man talk then heard a reply. "Yes father." The door opened and she flinched at the sudden force that the door was open, the door flung to her side which made her jump a little. She heard footsteps walking down the steps and heard a click of something. "Father, there's one here still." She now realized that the voice belonged to a kid. "Hey hey, can you hear me? Do you understand me?" The boy spoke but her fearing for her life only nodded and held her head low. "I'm not here to hurt you." He said with a gentle voice that shocked her, she thought this was a different person due to how much the boy's voice changed. But the warmth he radiated told her it was the same boy.

Slowly, the blind that was covering her eyes was removed, the boy immediately used himself as to cover her from the light source atop the stairs. Her eyes squinted and blinked multiple times, trying her best to get used to her regained vision. Once she looked up at the boy, her eyes widen, realizing that this boy doesn't even look like he's 10. Her mouth quivered, her arms shook as tears threatened to fall. "Hey hey, don't cry. You're safe now." The boy said which made the girl hug him tightly, this action surprised the boy and he was kneeling there, not knowing what to do, his arms were trapped by her hug so he just looked somewhere else. "Thank you.." She spoke out, the boy only nodded.

With her pulling away, the boy finally got a good look at her face. The boy smiled at her which made the girl smile back unconsciously. "Seems you've taken an interest." The older man spoke out as he walkes down the stairs. "Yes father. She's an interesting person." The boy spoke out as he looked to the side. "Well, I'll be upstairs talking with the chief about this." The boy nodded and looked back down at the girl. "C.. Can I come with you.." The girl asked, the boy was about to refuse but she gave her puppy eyes, his heart clenched and looked away. "Y-yeah. S-sure." Her lion ears perked as she heard this. "THANK YOU THANK YOU!" She yelled out excitedly as she pounced on him, only to be held back by the collar around her neck. "Let me get that."

As the boy fiddled with the collar, this gave her a chance to study her saviour. There was nothing she can see that stands out from him except for his (E/C), she was captivated by it but was brought of it when the boy looked at her again. Realizing her collar was off, she felt. New. She felt like she can breath again. Her arms unconsciously wrapped around him, looking for the warmth she felt earlier. She sighed in content as she found the warmth again, the boy stayed still and let her hug him. The boy's jaw clenched as his eyes finally adjusted to the darkness around the room, the boy saw corpses littered around the room, his anger rose through the roof as he saw they have animal features.

The boy felt the girl's arms loosened around him, he looked down and saw that she passed out. He sighed and unwrapped her arms around him. He pulled his sunglasses from his pouch and placed it on the girl then picked her up, bridal style then made his way out of the basement. Once out, he saw his father leaning against the wall. "Well, I'll stay here and gather what I can. Bring that lass home." His father kicked himself off from the wall and walked upstairs.

The walk was rather uneventful except for the stares he got from the people around him. He scoffed as he saw some were glaring at the lion girl that he's carrying. Speeding himself up, he soon reached the gates. He didn't bothered waiting for the guard to open it as he just pushed through the gates and made his way to the front door.

Hearing a gate being pushed open with force, the girl in his arm stirred awake, she opened her eyes slightly and saw thay she was being carried by the same boy that rescued her. She let out a sigh of relief but once she saw how many people were waiting inside, she panicked and fell from his grasp. The boy tried to reach for her but failed.

The lioness who fell, immediately scrambled towards him and hid behind him. "(Y/N)? Who is this?" An adult female asked while walking down the steps. "Mother. Uh." He scratched the back of his head before looking back to the lioness and kneeling down then whispered. "What's your name again?" He asked with a slightly goofy face from her view. "The.. The uh.. The.. Their boss called me Botan.." He nodded and turned his head slightly. "Botan, her name's Botan." The mother smiled but the boy felt something sinister behind the smile. "(Y/N)." (Y/N) gulped at looked at her directly. "Next time, ask her name first, hm?" She said almost too sweetly before leaving back to her studies. (Y/N) let out a sigh of relief, the butlers chuckled while the maids were smiling at each other. "Alright alright, show's over! Please go back to whatever you guys are doing!" They all nodded and left the two alone.

"(Y/N) huh..? That's a nice name.." She muttered which didn't fly past him. The boy nodded and smiled before lowering himself to her level. "Botan, a cute name. It suits you well." Botan had a slight pink tint on her cheeks then smiled back. "As of today, you're apart of our family now." Botan hesitantly nodded and he immediately saw this. "Don't worry. If someone bullies you or threatens you, come for me immediately. I promise and I will make sure that nothing bad happens to you." Botan's heart skipped a bit and she looked to the side.

"Thank you.."
