chapter 7: time alone...or not

I ran into the woods further, sad and angry with the fact that Shoney and my OWN mother had been keeping so much from me.

As I leaned against a tree I turned around and saw Autumn and Brice standing there.

"Why did you follow meeeee?" I yelled.

They jumped about eight miles in the air and laughed.

"We just didn't want to be left alone with Baloney and that bitch," Autumn said, shrugging.

"Baloney? Don't you mean Shoney? And I agree my mom is a bitch," I replied.

Brice nodded. "Shoney has never told us that he's gonna kill us. We've raised him his whole life! All that crap about the ancient vacuums, we have never heard in our life!"

I shrugged. "That makes no sense. Shoney just shot me out of nowhere."

Autumn and Brice frowned, looking at the ground.

"Let's go, then. We can get out of here! Shoney killed our brother Dave, he's after us, we have no other choice. Let's go in the woods to that cabin where we raised Shoney!" Brice said.

I looked around the empty forest. "Ok....yes. It's all we can do."

And so that's what happened.

We ran away from our problems.
