Hello! Again, sorry for the slow update I had a bit of trouble writing it. Anyway the story is still progressing just as slowly as before so nothing new with that! I'll try and get the next update out faster. ^^

The morning was similar to the other ones, though this time upon waking up (Y/N) wasn't greeted by a messy and muddy living room. Instead this time the room was enveloped in the ray's of sunlight shining through a window, being as neat as he had left it yesterday. Lifting his head up from the table the soreness in his neck and back became more prominent making it clear that the wooden chair and dining table wasn't an ideal place for sleeping. The book from yesterday still laid open on the wooden surface underneath him, the pages, thankfully weren't crumpled from him laying on top of them. (Y/N) went about his morning as usual, being careful not to burn his breakfast that badly this time. Through out the morning, the information from the book still clouded his mind keeping him invested in the fascinating features of the other world it described and giving him a slight craving to explore the mysterious land.

Returning to reality from his thoughts he noticed that he had made his way out to his garden. (Y/N) leaned on the backdoors doorframe looking around the terrace and admiring the view of the blooming flowers while still pretty deep in thought. Whilst he was examining his surroundings his eyes got caught on a bush of certain yellow flower that were growing at the back of the land. Approaching the shrubbery the flowers less noticeable details became clearer. The flowers petals were lightly scrunched up giving the blossoms a kind of wrinkled look. The inner part of the floral leafs were also adorn with a darker orange tint giving the buds an overall almost golden look. The faint memory of a small gardening hand book helped him recall the name of the almost ball like flower. It's name was marigold, the appearance of the florets complementing their name with their almost gold like shade. Sitting down next to the bush (Y/N) continued to admire the flowers his thoughts slowly trailing back to the nether and the book. The flowers name and colour bringing his thinking back to gold, one of the only ores that can be found in the other world. Casually (Y/N) fell back into his thoughts, getting lost in the concept of the other dimension again.

The next few days went by almost unnoticed, nothing note worthy happening around the house. (Y/N) had spent these days tending to his crops, cleaning and sharpening weapons and dusty armor and tidying things up around his home more.

On one of these days he had started a small journal about the other world, scribbling down short facts and random parts from the book as a way to distract himself and or to take mini breaks from the work around the house. His attention was still mostly focused on the mysterious dimension, questioning the factual correctness of the book and wanting to see for himself, often being reminded of the portal still hidden in the woods.

The idea of activating the portal and seeing what's actually on the other side was a captivating thought for (Y/N) and the urge to act on it just became stronger, his enthusiasm becoming more prominent as another day passed.

Finally his patience ran out and his curiosity got the best of him.  One late morning after breakfast he moved over to the chests in the corner of the room and started rummaging through them and occasionally throwing a few things in to a leather bag that was laying on the ground next to him. Closing the chest (Y/N) stood up and walked over to a door a few meters to the right of the chests.

Opening it and stepping into the other room he was greeted by an armour stand that stood right infront of him and different kinds of weapons that were either hung up on the wall or were resting on the ground. The room was small only a few meters wide and the scattered about weaponry made it feel even more compact. The armor stand that (Y/N) was facing only held four things, an iron breastplate, a pair of iron pauldrons, a pair of leather arm bracers and the old, slightly discolored golden helmet that (Y/N) had found in the chest near the portal. He had cleaned the helmet up by now, it's yellow shine somewhat returning, though it still wasn't in the best condition. Removing the chestplate and pauldrons from the stand he started to put the light armor on, tightening the strappes just enough.

Moving onto the weapons that were scattered all over the room he made his way over to an iron axe that was hung on the wall. It was in good condition, having been crafted only a week or two ago, with barely a few scrapes and dents being imbeded in the material. Detaching it from off the wall he sliding it into the holster that was attached to the belt on his hip making sure it was secured in. Taking a few steps to his right he lifted up a rectangular wooden shield that was leaning against the wall, and sat it down on the floor so that it was facing down. (Y/N) strapped the wooden targe onto his left hand then stood up, shifting his balance to accommodate the weight of the shield and armour.

On his way out he spared one more glance at the gold helmet that hung on the armour stand. In the end he reached out and grabbed the headpiece, slinging it over his shoulder and finally exiting the stuffy room.

The forest was cool, a small breeze passing through it every so often, shaking up the leaves on the trees. The weather was nice, similar to the day (Y/N) had first discovered the dark structure in the woods.
Moving through the woods his footsteps were steady and hushed making the hushed breeze and bird songs of the forest seem that more loud.

Soon a clearing could be spotted amongst the trees, becoming clearer as (Y/N) got closer. He stepped out from amidst the trees, the small space now being visible in all it's glory. The mystical structure still stood in the middle like a grand statue the early noon sun hitting it's surface and making the purple details in the dark stone stand out that much more.

It looked just as ethereal as (Y/N) remembered it to be.

Moving closer he stood infront of the portal admiring the stone from up close. Reaching out a hand he ran it along the material. It's surface was uneven, but smooth cracks lining almost every cm of it and giving it a torn look.

Finally he took a step back and reached into the bag that was hanging at his side. After rummaging through it for a moment he took out the same flit and steel that he had found in the chest near the portal. He knelt down, positioning the stones in his hand before roughly hitting them together, making small sparks fly in all directions from the collision. At last a bigger spark hit the black stone and in a second a purple, flame like effect spread over the structure. (Y/N), frightened by the sudden happening, fell back his arms moving to keep him from fully hitting the ground. The  purple flame like waves that moved across the statue leaving him breathless.

The purple blaze spread out evenly over the inside of the structure, sparks emerging from it here and there. It illuminated the grass near it with a violet glow giving the mysterious portal an even more ominous appearance, if that was even possible.

Slowly, (Y/N) stood up from the ground eyes still glued to the purple light. Moving closer quiet rumbling sounds could be heard coming from the object, ones similar to what an enderman would emit.

Reaching a hand up he slowly pressed it into the the see-through flames. His hand, to not much surprise passed through the violet coloured layer of blazes, a fuzzy feeling accompanied the action. Retreating his hand he let out a sigh, his gaze moving to his hand then back to the portal. (Y/N) hesitated for a moment just staring into the purple pool with the black lining, his mind debating if this really was a good decision for the last time. Finally he snapped out of his daze, determined and confident in his final decision.

Placing a hand onto the head of his axe he stepped into the violet haze, letting it engulfe him in it's weird noises and fuzzy feeling. After a second his head started to spin, getting heavier and heavier, black spots forming in his vision making the world all around look blurry.

His world suddenly seemed to dissappear, melting away until there was only a darker void left in it's place.
