My breath gets caught in my throat and I didn't even realized I've stopped breathing. At the same moment I notice Andy's eyes widen a bit and suddenly two arms wrap around my waist and someone places they're chin on the crook of my neck "Is there a problem?" Kale's smooth voice breaks the silence and I plead at Andy with my eyes, quietly telling her not to spill the beans on Kale about Matt.
Fortunately, Andy gets the message and regains her composure. "Nothing, I was just wondering if I could have a minute with my- cousin"

Kale doesn't seems bothered and reluctantly lets me go, not before giving me a lingering kiss. He stalks his way back to our little love seat and turns his attention to the sky.
Andy pulls me a little further away from Kale. "What the hell was that about? Is this your form of rebound? Getting it on with strangers? This has got to stop Carms, your leading the poor guy on" This is what I love about Andy, she keeps my feet on the ground.
"But you gotta admit tho" she says eyeing Kale. "The dude's hot"
I roll my eyes at this.
"He's a not total stranger. He's good friends with Eldrick, his name is Kale, and no I did not sleep with him or anything. We just talked and uh danced"
"More like grind" she scoffs but I cut her off.
"No- really, we just danced, as in a formal one, to a Taylor Swift song" I reason out.
She studies me intently and I study her back to avoid getting any unnecessary emotions unto my face.
"I'll squeeze those details later since we've got bigger problems; Matt's here" Andy states again
"You've told me that already. Moving on please" she rolls her eyes and scan the area quickly before looking back at me.
"He knows your here too"
"Say what?"
She gives me a "Who the fuck are u?" saying look & I give her the face
"The good thing is that he doesn't know your in a disguise. The bad thing is that he's with another girl" Andy huffs out and I could only stare at her. Was is that fast to forget about someone you've known your whole life? I could feel the tears tickling my eyes. Andy notices this and pulls me in for a hug.
"Aww honey" She coos and I sob on her shoulder.
"Who'd he bring?" I ask, my voice slightly muffled.
"Hmm?" She asks and I pull away, carefully wiping away any excess tears.
"Who did he bring along?" I ask again, finally calming down.
"I dont really know. Havent seen her before. But she was tall with red hair" Andy says while looking up, remembering. And that was all I needed to hear.
I cant believe he ditched me for her
