I stood staring at my room, memorizing it. The room was empty and every time I spoke it would echo. I clung tight to my suitcase holding back tears.
"Are you ready Miss. Foxters?" I took a deep breath and closed the doors and made my way down the spiral stair case. "Should we go?" I said. The woman led me to a carriage and that was the end of it. Well at least I wont have to stay in this sad place anymore, don't get me wrong I love it. It's where I grew up but the weather was always gloomy we were lucky If a tiny bit of sun would peek on the mansion in summer.
But I guess my parents weren't lucky at all.
My bum cheeks started to ache within sitting in the car for 3 hours. But as we got nearer to the place the weather was more happy, the sun came out. And It felt good feeling the sun on my skin. I have to admit that I am rather pale, very pale. My face was pale with my red cheeks, and with my dark eyes.
The car came to a halt while I was drinking water and it spilled on me. Great. I forgotten that my dress was white with flower designs on it. I know you probably expected a girl like me to be dressed in all black, since my parents just died.
But they always said 'don't let the sadness eat you up'.
So I didn't.
I heard chatter approaching and a woman with bright red hair opened the car door. I went all still and didn't move," Hello Diana, Dear." she said with a warm smile.
She let out her hand and I took it without hesitation. I covered my eyes with my hand, as the blazing sun hit my eyes. Her house was odd looking but I wouldn't mind living here for the rest of my life, plus it looked cosy. Different rectangles poked out everywhere, which looked like the where the bed rooms would be inside. I followed her to the front door, but as I was about to step foot I froze on the spot.My breathing was shaking and my eyes only stared at the floor, my hand clung tighter to the suitcase that was once my mother's. "Diana, dear... come here." she said as she gave me a hug, tears came out of nowhere, no one's ever hugged me. At least when I was sad. Mother and Father wasn't very affectionate.
"Oh look you have Emma's suitcase, I remember her bringing that everywhere."
I smiled and stepped inside. Two pairs of eyes stared at me," Diana, this is Ronald and Ginny."
"Mom! It's Ron."
The boy looked almost my age and the girl about a year younger than me. The girl approached me and smiled," You have a nice dress, Diana." Molly smiled with a laugh, "Gin, why don't you show her to her room?" Ginny squealed and grabbed my hand, she took me to the second floor.
We both ran and our footsteps were loud, but we passed a certain room. The door was open and the music was loud, but not too loud. Me and Ginny took a run for it with both of us screaming and yelling.
"GINNY STOP RUNNING AROUND OR ELSE YOU MIGTH DIE!" a voice shouted from the room followed with laughing. Me and her stopped at our tracks and I realise that i wasn't holding my suitcase," Wait Ginny, I've dropped my suitcase." I whispered.
"Go get it then." she said with a cheeky smile.
I gave her a weird look before tip toeing my way back.
" HA GOT YOU!"
I fell back, but they had their hands wrapped around my shoulder, catching my fall. I looked up to see a tall, thin boy; of course he had that bright red hair. For a moment I thought my world went into a gradual speed as I lock eyes with him.
I regained my balance and fixed my dress. I walked pass him to get my suitcase and walked back to Ginny. But as I walked pass him, I swore I saw a small smile on his face or maybe it was a smirk.
