36. Fade away

Scene after coming back from Jungkook's home (after kidnap):

"Yoomi! Why did you not say to him that it was you?!... I feel sorry for him, he too suffered a lot.. Jungkook told me everything. I heard Tae saying your Dad's name... Are you planning to give him a surprise?" Jimin asked while opening his car's door for me.

"Leave it Jimin.." I sat inside the car.

"What happened Yoomi? Aren't you happy? As I told you earlier that he will come for you sure, he did! See my trick worked." Jimin giggled, starting the car.

"I wish it didn't." I blankly said.

"I know you went insane after hearing the happy news! Don't you ever try to escape from giving us all party for-" Jimin glanced her nose while he paused his words, "Yoomi! Bloo.. blood! Shit what happened??!" He stopped the car giving it a jerk and parked it aside of the road. He wavered and gave her tissues.

"Nothing.. Just like that-" I took tissues without looking Jimin's face and wiped my nose. I looked outside the window ignoring Jimin's word.

Jimin's eyes widened. "You weren't cold? Why is your nose bleeding? What happened?!"

I left silent.

"Yoomi!! Tell me what happened!" He commanded.

"It's nothing Jimin! I think Jungkook pressed the kerchief a bit too hard while kidnapping me.."

"Why does it feel suspicious to me?"

"Jimin, will you come over for dinner tonight? We can practice until that.. what say?" I asked.

"But Yoomi-"

"Let's go now Jimin.. .. please? We can talk during dinner.." I made doe eyes.

At dinner:

"Jimin, it's nice to see you here. Please eat comfortably." Yoomi's Dad smiled at him.

I was silent and my eyes were fixed to the plate.

"Yoomi, what happened? Why are you silent? You called your friend for dinner and now you are being like this?" Mom added.

"Mom.. Dad.. can I ask you something?"

"Sure, Yoomi.. What is it?" They told in unison.

"Who is my date? To whom I'm getting engaged?"

"Sorry, we couldn't talk about this earlier that day.. I thought you will get to know in the party but things didn't go well after that so I couldn't tell you this- It's none other than our CEO's son, Kim Taehyung."

I closed my eyes tight and gulped.

"You don't worry Yoomi.. He is a nice guy.. so humble. You both make a cute couple." Dad smiled.

"Of course uncle.. They do! They are made for each other!" Jimin cheered.

"If you'd only said this earlier." I got up coldly seeing my Dad.

"Yoomi-" Jimin's eyes widened as he stood up.

"What happened? By chance, do you Love someone else?" Dad asked me.

"Why did you not tell me, I went through scanning while I was unconscious?!!" I glanced everyone, lastly Jimin.
