"Look, how about we make a deal."
Natsu says. Lucy raises an eyebrow and gives him "the eye". "What do you mean, deal?" The blonde says, not trusting Natsu in the bit.
"I get you out of here, and you do a favor for me."
Lucy squinty eyed at Natsu. Natsu heaved a sigh.
"Trust me on this."
Natsu held out his hand. Lucy wasn't buying it, but it wasn't like she had any other choice. She shook it, and made sure to crush his hand when she did. Natsu winced a bit and shook his hand off when he let go.
"Geez, you got a strong grip, don't you?"
Natsu chuckled. Lucy glared at him. "Anyways, just stick near me and I'll handle it, okay?"
Lucy kept glaring without saying anything. Natsu walked back in the restroom, and came back three minutes later all freshened up. Then he opened the door for Lucy. "After you"
He smirked as he showed a toothy grin. Lucy scowled. "Whatever, pervert old man."
The blonde mumbled as she went through the door, making Natsu choke. "Hey, that wasn't very nice!"
He shouted after her, making Lucy roll her eyes. "I'm here to get my ID card and camera. Not to make friends."
Lucy waved sassily as she walked in front of Natsu. The pinkette raised an eyebrow and grinned as he looked at his future wife.
Natsu caught up with Lucy easily. Natsu was a bit afraid that Lucy might act like she wasn't supposed to be here, and cause suspicion, but she was walking through the hallways like she owned the place.
Even with her homey clothes, it looked like she belonged here. Natsu couldn't stop grinning as he stared at Lucy from behind. That smile soon vanished as they reached the doorway.
"Good morning sweetcakes!"
Lisanna called, acting cute as she jumped on Natsu. Natsu cringed, feeling gross all over. Lucy was just pissed off that Lisanna ignored her.
The blonde's thoughts were soon taken over by the worry of her son and (maybe) daughter. She widened her eyes full of terror that they might have gotten caught. Or even worse, hurt.
She ran out of the mansion, yelling, "I gotta go! Thanks Natsu!"
Natsu smiled as he watched Lucy run off. Lisanna followed his gaze and scowled, providing more wrinkles on her face than she can handle. She rubbed her chest on Natsu's arm, making him cringe in disgust.
"Oh sweetcakes, now that we're all alone, why don't we check out the museum that just opened up last week?"
Lisanna asked. Natsu held back the urge to throw up. "Umm, sorry Lis, but I just remembered that I haven't fed Nashi yet! Or myself... anyways, see you later!"
Natsu yelled as he pushed Lisanna out of the mansion doors and shut it tight, locking it in the process. He put his back against the door and sighed.
"It seems like you're in a rush. Perhaps I should come another time."
An echoing voice called out to Natsu, giving him goosebumps. "AH GEEZ MAN WHY YOU HAVE TO SCARE ME LIKE THAT?!" Natsu yelled at the blue haired man with the tattoo on his right eye.
He stood right next to Natsu, appearing out of nowhere wearing a butler suit. "My sincerest apologies master."
Jellal said, bowing. Natsu sighed as he drew one hand over his head and ruffled up his hair. "No one's around. You don't have to act anymore."
The pinkette said. Jellal took a few extra glances and sighed as well, slumping his shoulders. "Sorry, but you know how I feel like in front of people..."
"They're dangerous creatures of the world that you might anger by a simple word."
Natsu finished his sentence boringly, already used to his "anti-homosapien" rants. Everyday the pinkette wondered if this habit was because of Erza's influence.
Jellal looked genuinely surprised.
"Anyways, do you have to sneak up on me like that everytime you have something to say to me?"
Natsu whined, having enough of being scared out of his pants.
"It adds a mysterious effect, don't you think?"
Jellal smirked. Natsu sweat dropped. "Yeah, yeah. So what did you want to say?"
"Oh right! About the Mermaid Heel business meeting. It seems like some of the Sabertooth members want to collaborate as well. Something about the headmaster wanting his best friend to reunite with his true love, who conveniently works at Mermaid Heel. Will you accept?"
Natsu waved it off, not really listening either way.
"Sure"
"Great! Then that leaves this week completely free of work! Enjoy your time, master."
Once Jellal disappeared into the shadows, Natsu smirked to himself. "A whole week off, eh? I wonder if I can sneak a peek at what that reporter girl's doing..."
He mumbled. After he thought of his plans for the week, he wondered why he wanted so badly that the reporter came with them. He shook it off and labeled it as a simple curiosity.
"Daddy!"
A sweet voice interrupted his thoughts. Natsu immediately beamed and caught the small figure that jumped into his arms.
"Hey little salamander! Watcha up to?"
Natsu asked Nashi, who was hanging upside down from his arms.
"I've been writing fanfics of this ship called Kagehina! I wanted to do Iwaoi, but I already have a whole bookshelf of those..."
Nashi looked glum when she mentioned her lack of space. Natsu felt his heartstrings get played by his daughter.
"Tell you what. You can have the seventh library, if, you help do the servant's chores for a whole week."
Nashi brightened. "Thank you daddy!" She called out as she jumped out of his father's arms to quickly help Erza make the beds. She smirked to herself as she skipped off.
Natsu smiled at his daughter's wholesomeness. He started to walk off and start his morning routine with a stack of paperwork.
Then he remembered that he didn't have any work for the whole week. He paused, and decided to go annoy Jellal after a very hard time deciding what to do.
"Jellaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal!!!!"
He called. Jellal didn't answer, or come out of the shadows and scare the fire out of Natsu. Natsu found it strange, but assumed that Erza, or Reiki must've called him over.
Natsu shrugged his shoulders, completely bored. He thought of what to do next, and thought of the reporter first. "That's right! Fairy Tail inc! I'll go visit!"
Natsu happily skipped off, getting ready to annoy the hell out of everybody.
Meanwhile, Jellal was being held back in the shadows by a familiar grip over his waist and his mouth.
He stayed calm and softly took the hand off his mouth once Natsu was out of sight. "What's wrong scarlet?" He asked sweetly, looking up to see Erza with a deadpanned stare, Nashi hiding in the artificial bushes alongside her.
"This is an important part of our plan. Sorry babe, but I'll share a piece of cake later as an apology."
Erza said groggily. She was obviously tired.
Jellal was more worried about his wife's health than cake. "Are you okay? Maybe you should lie down..."
Jellal put his hand to Erza's forehead. He widened his eyes in surprise. "You're burning." He said sternly.
