1948 - New Orleans

"Father please, do not do this." I cried, looking over to see my mother laying on the floor, blood surrounding her lifeless body.
He grabbed me by my ear and threw me to the ground, beside my mother.
"Do not command me, girl." he yelled, anger overflowing his heartless eyes, veins beneath.
"Father, I beg, I shall do whatever." I screamed. My father was no longer my father. He was a monster, a monster who hurt my mother and was going to hurt me.
"You stupid child." he laughed.
For so long, mother and father had tried to protect me from the supernatural, however they brought me to New Orleans. A place where the supernatural is famous.
I stared into his eyes, tears flowing down my cheeks.
"Please, I am begging." I whispered, hoping for some sort of miracle.
"No." He replied. Lifting me off the floor and pinning me against the brick wall in the dark ally. Just as he was about to dig his fangs into my neck an unfamiliar voice appeared.
"That's no way to treat a lady." he said and before I could blink my father was on the floor whilst this odd man held his heart in his hands.
He was fairly tall, dirty blond hair and dark blue-green eyes that contrasts with his pearl-white skin, also he was highly attractive but that isn't the point.
My jaw was left open in shock, 5 seconds later, I ran over to my mother, she was gone completely. Her blood was drained.
"I'm so sorry." I murmured, leaning over her body whilst letting my tears run.
I felt the man's presence behind me so I quickly turned round in fear.
"None of this was your fault, love." he smiled.
He had an outstandingly beautiful smile, it was almost like I felt safe at his presence yet I didn't know him.
"Who are you?" I bellowed.
"Ouch. I thought you would've heard of me." he grinned. I shook my head slowly in confusion.
"Niklaus Mikaelson, but you can call me Klaus." he said.
I began to stand up, backing away. He was what my mother and father warned me of. I had came face to face with the real monster.
"Please. Please don't hurt me." I cried.
His smile quickly faded,
"I do not wish to hurt you." he replied.
Everything had happened so quickly, my father was a vampire, killed my mother, attempted to kill me until I got saved by Klaus Mikaelson. I don't know whether I should be grateful, frightened or sad.
He took my hand and smiled. His eyes, I could not help myself but stare into them, they were beyond gorgeous, hypnotic. Almost like diamonds.
"You will tell me honestly how you feel." he said, while staring into my eyes.
Compulsion, he was compelling me. Mother warned me of this, however he was the hybrid, even if I had vervain he could still get through to me.
"I'm shocked. Father and mother are dead. Where will I go? Am I going to be alone? I'm grateful you saved me however I feel I should I fear you, although I don't. Maybe it's because of your looks but there's something about you, I can't quite put my finger on it." I spoke.
He grinned at the fact I just confessed to him being attractive. He must hear it all the time.
"How about you come stay with me? I'm sure Rebekah will love you." he laughed. Although I should've said no, I found myself so fond of him. He saved my life despite the fact he had took many himself. I had to thank him someway. So, I nodded my head and we began walking out of the ally.
