At first it was a hum, a light tune on the tongue of a musician.
A simple tune that would be finished when it was sung through peace and independence.

And so the hum grew into a song, one sung around a roaring campfire.
Sung by people surrounded by friends, family, and brothers in arms.

And soon the song grew, a chant empowered by pride and determination, a smile on the faces of all who sung it.

Even after the ground was gone and battles lost, the song still echoed between the walls.
Brothers and friends alike still holding onto hope.

But soon it lost a voice.
And it grew a little bit quieter that day.

They did not win their fights but that did not stop them, and soon the song gained new voices.
Those voices a dissonance to the once beautiful melody.

Then it became a hum once again.
Sung only in the quiet of an isolated bakery, and the echos of a ravine.
Longing and hope and fear filled the song, it no remembered the harmony of peace.
For it had been so long since it had been sung for it.

In the silence of a cave a madman sung with a laugh on his breath, carving its words into the walls.
A desperate plea for the peace that he once desired.

A friend.
A brother.
A warrior.
And all who stood beside them.

They all sung the song with hope to gain what they had lost so long ago.

But even when the dissonance voice died out, it did not leave the mind of the musician.
It's jarring tune tainted the once pure song and infected an already broken soul.

A fight.
A scream.
A desperate plea.

And the symphony, still left unfinished, finally came to an end.
