Harry Potter Ships Opinions

Harmione

Harry and Hermione. I don't love it, I don't hate it. 

They would make good partners for each other, I'll say that. But I think that they both have better options (Ginny and Ron).  

Why I like them as a ship:

1) They understand each other. They are very close, and whenever Ron and Hermione have fights, Harry tries to stay close to Hermione. When Ron was dating Lavender, Harry helped to comfort Hermione. Like I said, they're close.

2) They don't get in many fights. Throughout the whole book series, I can only think of a few times when they've gotten into fights. They get along really well.

But I still don't completely ship them.

Why I don't like them as a ship:

1) Deathly Hallows page 378 - 

"He could not finish; it was only now that Ron was here again that Harry fully realized how much their absence had cost them. 'She's like my sister,' he went on. 'I love her like a sister and I reckon she feels the same way about me. It's always been like that. I thought you knew.'"

So. Here Harry explicitly states that he loves Hermione like a sister, not romantically. Which is one reason why this ship doesn't work.

2) Um...Ginny and Ron? Ron and Ginny fit Hermione's and Harry's personalities much better than Harry and Hermione could ever fit each other. (I explain that in the Hinny and Romione chapters - take a look there for my full thoughts about those ships).

In conclusion, Hermione and Harry wouldn't be a bad pair, just they both deserve someone else. Ginny and Ron would do better for the two of them then they would do for each other.
