Monday comes all too quickly. When she sees him walking out of the daycare she walks over to him with a smile on her face. When he sees her, there is a smile on his face as well.

"Hey."

She says and he takes her hand in his.

"Hi."

He says and they begin walking.

"How hyper was Isabella when you got back?"

"Asleep actually. Sugar crash."

He says and Maya chuckles. Their work day goes by slowly until Harry sees Maya rush past towards the staircase to the roof as lunch break begins. He glances around before following her, and rushing up the stairs to make sure she is alright. When he opens the door he sees her sitting down near the edge, her body shaking slightly.

"Maya?"

He says approaching her and she turns, wiping her eyes to disguise her tears. He sits down beside her and she scoots away.

"Are you alright?"

"I'm fine...I'm alright."

She says, her voice shaky and breaking.

"You're not a very good liar."

She could almost laugh to herself. She's an amazing liar, just not right now.

"I-..I just.."

She says, trying to collect herself.

"Harry..."

She says looking up at him, and he looks at her. She doesn't want him to see the broken, deprived girl she really is beneath her quiet and callous exterior.

"I'm sorry."

She says and he takes her hand in his.

"Why are you apologizing? You did nothing wrong."

She shakes her head and takes a deep breath.

"I'm sorry that I'm crying, it's just really awkward. No one has ever seen me cry before.."

She says and he scoots closer to her.

"Don't apologize for that."

He says and she pauses, not expecting that answer.

"Why are you crying?"

A million thoughts race through her head. She feels trapped, her head hurts, the need for drugs is overwhelming. But her wish for being dead is contradicted by the man sitting beside her.

"My head just really hurts and I am super emotional sometimes."

She lies and he thankfully believes it.

"We all have our days.."

He says and she nods, wishing she could tell him that everyday is like this for her. But then he'd leave.

"Maya...I don't think I say this enough but, you can talk to me. I know what it's like to go through tough times, and I want to be there for you, if you'll let me."

He says and Maya freezes. Open up? Talk? Her brain screams at her to say no, but somehow she nods.

"thanks."

She says, wiping away her tears.

"You can always call me...I don't think I have your number yet though."

He says and she smiles.

"Was this your smooth way of asking for my number?"

She asks and his eyebrows shoot up.
